  1. There is, but if you don't sign 25 one year, then you can sign however many you were short in addition to the 25 the next year. The catch is that the signees past the 25 have to enroll at mid semester. For example; we signed 23 last year. 2 short of 25. We can sign 27 this year, 2 more than 25, as long as at least 2 of the signees enroll at mid semester or sooner. Since Anthony Wallace is already enrolled and Connor Means will enroll for next semester, we can sign 27. They still count as part of our 2014 signing class.
  2. Senior highlights for anyone who wants to see them. http://www.hudl.com/athlete/554011/highlights/73465399?autoplay=1
  3. He's from Dekaney high school in Spring, Texas. A Houston suburb. Very good school though. They won the 5A division II state championship two years ago. Don't know. Recent alums, graduated 5 years ago or less, are supposed to sit on the same side as the student section. You may have to pay full price if you want to sit club level. Hopefully that's not the case though and you can get your discount.
  4. After championship weekend all the bowl games are officially announced. It's actually the next day on Sunday. However, many teams already accept bowl invitations prior to Sunday and some are made public. BYU publicly accepted their invitation to play in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl back in October. We could potentially accept an invitation to a bowl, most likely HoD bowl, this week and make it public, but we'll probably find out officially a week from today.
  5. I think you're talking about Garrett Mills. That guy was as productive a tight end as you'll ever see in college football.
  6. Now that the season is over we can talk about who put themselves in position to get all-conference recognition. Guys like Bellazin (conference sack leader), Orr, Trice, and Chancellor are the obvious one but guys like Akunne, Y'Barbo, Lemon, A Johnson, Lee, and DT are among the others who have a chance. Also, does CUSA have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all-conference team or just a 1st and 2nd team?
  7. Not to mention they some pretty highly rated recruits coming in next class. As long as we are in the same conference, especially same division, as they are in they will be among our toughest competition.
  8. And looking at the season accumulated stats, now that the regular season has concluded, is not enjoying a win? Call who you want douchebags. I'm going to keep supporting this team and DT as they go into this bowl game and be very grateful, as I even have said on here multiple times, for the ride they've given us. Also going to keep discussing football and the stats associated with it on this football forum.
  9. So saying that our qb play didn't improve this year is being ungrateful and being a douchebag?
  10. Here are his highlights. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=haBpun4NNHA Lefty, probably 5'11" or maybe 5'10". He's a tough kid who delivers a good ball and can stand in and take a hit. Not super fast, doesn't have a cannon, but has put up pretty impressive numbers and looks to be pretty accurate. Not the highest ceiling in the world, but if he stays as accurate as he was in high school then you never know. He's not on scholarship so there's no risk. Hope the kid works his tail off.
  11. Sam Wells from commerce. The lefty. But I still wouldn't mind another scholly qb, or another high school linebacker.
  12. Great post ntmeangreen11! Would be a great end to our class. I also would like to add a DeSoto defensive back. Either Howard Wilson, La Tech commit, or Nick Orr, or maybe both. I also don't think we need more than 3 o-lineman (Miles, Fortenberry, and hopefully Beard). We're only losing one this year in Anyiam although we also lost Cody Nelson who quit. A second quarterback wouldn't be the worst thing in the world either. I have confidence we'll make the most of all these spots.
  13. What did you think about Betglund in the fall camp scrimmages? I thought I remember you saying you were present for at least one of them and Berglund looked the best.
  14. Yup. 2640 yards, 14 touchdown passes and 13 interceptions this year, 2629 yards, 14 touchdown passes and 14 interceptions last year.
  15. Highlights:http://www.hudl.com/athlete/o/348199/ Rivals: http://rivals.yahoo.com/northtexas/football/recruiting/player-Wylie-Reinhardt-142033 Could be a real road-grader at tight end for us like Andrew Power and Drew Miller have been under Mac
  16. Uh oh. There's an Antonnio Benton on SeLa. TONY BENTON?!
  17. Oops, forgot Reinhardt. Thanks. Didn't know about Nelson. Too bad, thought he had decent potential. But on the bright side it opens up another scholarship for the 2014 class that is off to a great start.
  18. Not slated to start. LaChris Anyiam was ahead of him but he was supposed to be in the rotation. Don't forget, Pegram, Berglund, and Terrell were part of that class as well. I believe the redshirts were Nelson, Walker, Minor, Moore, Loving, Smiley, Sorge, Tucker, and Dajon Williams.
  19. That's the stock answer, but we don't actually know why. How many audibles did DT call this year? I just feel like we could've developed Berglund's or Williams' skills this year and won just as many, and probably more games this year. They would've progressed as the year went along but oh well. Can't complain with our results. Really was a great season and a great job by everyone involved.
  20. You said that Berglund looked really good in fall camp and that DT looked the same as last year. You proved to be pretty right about the latter. What about Berglund? Why didn't we see him more this year?
  21. Yes, he has already left and I already took him into account for open scholarships, as well as Nick Schrapps and everyone else who has left. I don't know if anyone will leave or who it would be. I also don't think it's good to speculate who will transfer or quit. It may not happen and you hope it doesn't, but if it does you need to be ready to fill the spots if you can. Because it almost always does happen.
  22. I started a similar thread and completely agree
  23. DT finished the season with 2640 yards, 14 touchdown passes and 13 interceptions. Last year he had 2629 yards, 14 touchdown passes and 14 interceptions. He did up his completion percentage a respectable amount, but stats were almost identical. However, we were able to improve from 4-8 to 8-4 with him as our qb. This thread isn't saying that we could've done this without DT or the improvement was all because of his play. Just showing that he proved we could win games with him, when myself and others said we couldn't win with him under center, and eating a little crow. Great season DT, great season mean green!
  24. Way to go Brandin and of course the blockers, not just o-line but them included for sure. Great accomplishment!
