  1. It is interesting to me how well  Coach Morris and his team did in the TP on the offensive side of the ball without a named QB. I think it matters greatly that  that he has 2yrs of eligibility and could have gone to USC or South Carolina with a payday. It shows that there are TP guys that want to play, not just get paid. I have called Coach the QB whisper and he will prove it again with Chandler. (this is why he chose UNT)

This was my favorite option. I'm stoked, not gonna lie. Kid is a winner. State champion, coach's kid... he beat out Max Duggan for the starting job before he got hurt. In Morris' offense, I think we're looking at video game numbers. This is your starter, no questions asked.

A proven winner with 2yrs eligibility is big. Would like to also sign Mooney with 4 yrs of eligibility.

    No science here, just observation:

Late in the game after he got injured at WichSt, coming out of a time out, he walked back to the bench walking only on his toes. Seems to be a pretty serious hamstring pull.

Info you don't need to know: my worst hamstring pull was running my first half marathon (Cowtown). The UNTHSC staff that manned the medical tent said it would be at least three weeks to recover. It was four or five for this non-athlete.

    Did you redshirt?

Why is everyone down on this kid?

We need depth but, Earle must be rethinking his decision to comeback.  Is Head still with the team?

I would be very excited to add Reese! Very talented, 2 sport athlete and class of 23. Perfect candidate for Morris! GMG

The back end doesn't demand doubles, slant into gaps, and penetrate into run gaps. Sure, our safety spots need an upgrade too, but if you don't upgrade up front then larger men at the running back position are still going to be running unabated and almost at full speed right at our smaller men at safety(s).

Ah ugh did I disagree? I’m sure you can always find a reason to Be atch!

There appears to be a lot of confidence based on Morris' reputation/history.

    Fair.

I would think that if that same reputation/history preceded him on the recruiting trail, we might have a laundry list of high-caliber QBs knocking on our door.    This simply does not appear to be the case.

The system is good.  Can we win some games with Stone Earl or Chuba Purdy at QB?   Probably!
Are we going to get heroic performances to dig out some additional tough wins with either of them (like we would from guys like Pat Mahomes/Cam Ward... you know, the guys his reputation is based on)?   Probably not.

Until we get some kind of game-changing QB in here to elevate this system, I'm worried.  Again, 6-6 is only barely acceptable... and we couldn't even get there with a guy like Chandler Rogers.

Another JD with an inside track? I guess.

Not trying to expose myself here, but he went to a local HS for me (Round Rock HS). The kid was LEGIT when it came to playing QB. Not sure what exactly happened down the line that led him to become a punter, but I'm glad he found his way to UNT!

    Dual threat punter? Sweet.

LOL.  A super majority of members voted CAL/Stanford/SMU into the league.  Expansion also provides significantly more money for the legacy members in addition to the creation of a performance pool.

Have fun making that legal argument that the membership actively acted against its own interests.

A lot can happen in discovery with emails and depositions. Was it presented knowing it would devalue and did the ACC lobby for the schools knowing it would devalue. I want to see the ACC keep their members, if not the trickle down effect will negatively impact the AAC. Both conferences just need to understand they will never get to play for a National Championship.

So many logical errors here but I'll start with an easy one.  SMU (as well as CAL and Stanford) are already assured that if the league loses any current member institutions (even one) they become full members receiving a full revenue share.  Second, why do you think we haven't heard a peep from Clemson or UNC?  They know the game here too.  This is, in all likelihood, a multi-billion dollar decision.  It isn't just an exit fee as you incorrectly categorize it.  It is giving up the rights to your home games and conference TV revenue for 12 years.  That money automatically kicks back to the ACC.

The ACC holds all the leverage in this situation.  FSU willingly signed the agreement (alongside very other ACC member) to grant their rights to the conference through 2036.  The document was written in such a way that it would be financially disastrous to try to break it.

It is what it is Noles.  See ya in Ford Stadium next fall!

There is no doubt that the AAC value has been reduced, and maybe greatly, based on no invite. ESPN could care less on who is getting how much of a share. They only care about how many fans are watching. If the new model is to attract  the casual fan that has no relations with the school, then the 3 the ACC added is a step back. What is the responsibility legally that the ACC has to its members that has devalued the asset and their institutions. This to me could maybe be a basis.
