At the time I’d have loved it if we did what Houston did with Robertson Stadium by digging down, tearing out the track and installing good lower levels and quality end zones to make it more intimate, modernize and keep the history. I’m sure the infrastructure would have been tough. I miss the history and I miss being on campus. That said, what we built turned out incredible and I love it. I’d also add that UH wound up building a new stadium after all that anyway.

Yeah that’s terrible. Their stuff has always sucked all the way back to the 90s. Just awful designs the whole time. It’s remarkable considering most schools in the South have a proper respect for uniform design, unless you want to associate yourself with the Arkansas States and ULMs of the world. I’ve never understood their vibe. Respect the football program, and also their will to fight to bring it back, but the unis are always awful.

EMo seems to be really embracing the "Texas De" or so called on Voertmans....SOW over Texas outline. Generic, but it's not bad either. Bought one of the polos.

It’s crazy how confident I always feel about guys involved in our basketball culture over the last several years. Always feels like we are destined to win, especially in clutch moments. So grateful for that. Hopefully that continues and also begins to translate to football too.

I think you’re right. Love and appreciate him. He changed our culture for the better, got us tougher, won a bowl game. Plenty to be grateful for. Also, couldn’t recruit in the modern era here, had some personal/health issues that probably didn’t help and by the time Portland St rolled into town he was just empty. I admire the man and respect and appreciate his contributions. He ran out of steam here and his style didn’t adjust to modern day college football (I also think our fundraising situations were guilty of that then (and now) which didn’t help). Forever grateful for that super green happy day in the cotton bowl on 1/1/14 though.

I do trust JM but I agree this doesn’t move the needle. I’m cool playing all the MWC games to just build our brand among G5 but I think our leverage is better than this and I agree that our FCS games oughtta be teams we recognize.

I think for me it was just that it, and later the other font NORTH TEXAS, wasn’t complimented by a decent uniform, and we used those logos on everything. We abandoned any Eagle related graphics entirely and just used text which just all looked and felt pretty meh. That said, I wouldn’t hate to see it incorporated in things on occasion with better branding around it.

You overrated UTSA. Temple and Navy are both down. Memphis will finish higher. I say 7 or 8 for us but it’s anybody’s guess right now. So many unknowns.
