We’re pretty much the only school in the country that’s decided to not sell sideline gear to the fans.
They cry poverty yet leave a lot of money on the table not selling nice gear to the fanbase.- 3

Any live college football broadcast looks more exciting when played before a packed crowd and impressive stadium.
I agree. That’s why the networks have very little interest in our football product.
Most of our home game broadcasts are produced by the athletic department. Why not take it up with them?

Except we are leading conference at this time. No excuse for the sorry turnout last week.
We damn sure better be leading the conference for how much we pay the coach.
The fact that we’re leading the conference, yet getting blown out by out of conference teams shows just how god awful CUSA is. It’s barely above 6A HSFB. People don’t give a crap about beating CUSA teams.

It just isn’t that simple.
The camera positions are on the press box side in every stadium in the country.
It’s the network’s job to cover the game, not to be a PR arm of the university.
Once again, the problem is bad football.

TCU’s student section was packed playing at the same time.

No no no, can’t be true.
I was told here that schools like MT and us could never compete with schools that have large NIL $$$. Simply not possible.

I am. I want a new coach. Don’t revisionist history though. The man achieved some shit. If you can’t acknowledge that at the same time as wanting change then I don’t get you.
He achieved some shitty football.
Let me look in the Littrell section of the trophy case…yup, empty. At least Mac won a trophy.

You obviously don’t remember what it was like in 2015 or 2008 if you think this year is as bad as those.
Seth is lucky TX Southern was on the schedule this year.
This team playing the 2015 Portland St team would be nothing close to an automatic win.

Not a chance.
Since we’re moving to the AAC next year, I don’t really give a crap about winning in the worst conference in the country. We’ve shown that we couldn’t compete in the AAC or MWC.- 1

Hold on now, we owe Seth the respect he’s due. We had some fun, won some games, increased our talent and made a bunch of bowl games. We still aren’t winning them and haven’t had a significant win in a long time but don’t ignore his impact. It’s over and I’m done but I appreciate the advancement - and we have indeed advanced.
Advanced??
He’ll be lucky to win 4 games in the worst conference in the country. This team will be lucky to win 2 games next season even with a new coach.
We’ve regressed back to Todd Dodge territory.

All whites are clearly better than these, but I'm not mad.
Those of you asking for the full SOW...Our equipment department never was able to angle that damn bird on the helmets correctly, ever. To be frank, it looked terrible. The feathers gives them more margin for error and the helmet looks far more symmetrical.
You would think the first rule of finding a new logo would be to make sure it fit on a damn helmet, but I guess not here.

TAKE OFF THE GREEN GLASSES AND STEP AWAY FROM THE TAINTED GREEN PUNCH.
This is NOT a D1 program. It represents either gross incompetence by this Administration or it’s a downright scam.
How do we know? Open your eyes and look around.
Think for yourselves.
The broadcast the athletic department put out last night to the world is the perfect representation of what this place is all about.

The AD let by the Teflon Don Wren Baker is not allowed to be criticized. Did you hear he got us into the AAC?!?
I have a pretty good feeling ESPN isn’t going to be happy with this level of production in the AAC.

This game is being produced by the athletic department with people hired by the athletic department and equipment owned by the athletic department.
You get what you pay for.

Don’t we have a top tier RTVF program? This stream is literally worse quality than a high school broadcast.
They couldn’t be bothered to clean the lens on the game camera.
There’s plenty of talented UNT alums working in sports TV production in this market, but you get what you pay for.

Why do all of our streams look like they’re filmed on a Sony MiniDV camera? Like…it certainly doesn’t seem like it looks like this at other CUSA stadiums.
The game is being produced by the athletic department using ESPN’s graphics. Full blame goes to the AD for the poor production.

Why does it feel like this Athletic Department is running a D2 program, peddling it as a D1 to the faithful all the while lining their pockets with lots of money and always quick with the excuses or spin when called out?
No lies detected.
I said it a few times over the weekend, this school simply isn’t interested in running a serious athletic department.

There are a lot of professional and college teams in this area that are all fighting over the same talent for these operations type roles. UNT is among the lowest paying of those employers.
Turnover in the office has always been high because UNT simply can’t compete on salary. The higher ups are concerned with coaches and players while everything else falls through the cracks.
I’m not holding my breath for considerable positive change until the school can pay staffers something more substantial than poverty wages.

We’re looking at Todd Dodge territory when we get to the AAC. The talent gap is that enormous.

They send these out every year and things have only gotten worse. It’s only paying lip service keeping the rubes thinking that they actually care.

Even the donors that are close to SL have got be thinking maybe he is not the right guy for the job. I am sure they have run business and made hard decision on letting people go. You think on Monday WB will get any phone calls saying I see you need a head coach, I am available.
Doubt it. They’re probably playing golf at Vaquero with Seth as we speak.

Parked for free in one of the campus lots near the Pit. Sounds like I made the right decision avoiding the clown show.
