  1. Only if Vito doesn't pick us to not lose.
  2. I believe that the Murphy twins are also victims of the Corona virus in some form. Neither is now listed in the three deep and they had been.
  3. I don't know the reason but Rice won't start their season until 10/24 against Middle Tenn. All the rest are divisional games. They do not play divisional rival UAB but do play the other five. They only play those six games this season so I'd say a bowl is out of the question.
  4. Absolutely. He made the mistake of bringing his high school DC with him. He was a train wreck.
  5. I agree about that interlocked NT but some aren't that bad; just need a little work. For instance, I like the alumni interlocked NT as well as the NT taken from a circle where the N is green and the T is white but that wouldn't show up on a green or white helmet. I believe that we have used that before with both green on a white helmet. Where is Battle Flag Drex when we need him?
  6. What I want to know is when they are returning to names on their back. They have changed so many numbers that I can't keep up with more than five.
  7. He definitely belongs in Division I. He is currently 10th in Yards per Game and 11th in Average per Carry nationally.
  8. When I was at North Texas (back in the dark ages) there was a large cage at the back of the golf course clubhouse that kept an eagle. I'm not sure what kind of eagle it was but I'd say that it was a golden eagle. Feeding the eagle was was very difficult so it was given to Forest Park Zoo in Fort Worth I'm told. I left North Texas in 1950 for a Navy hitch and came back for the spring semester of 1955. I joined the forerunner to the present Talons (called the Rally Club). As president of that club in 56-57 my job was to go to Fort Worth on home game day and get an eagle (on loan) and bring it
  9. The throw was about as perfect as it could be. It was just a great defensive play.
  10. I'd say the greatest player in Kansas football history. Among the top runners of all time. And, as they say, an outstanding individual.
  11. Sorry, but I overstated Jacob Farrell's size. He's 6'6" tall but only 280. I couldn't find an edit key.
  12. I feel that he is much better than his .8125 combined rating. With his 12 FBS offers, including four P5s, I believe that he should have had a higher rating. He has tremendous size (6'5",340) and along with Farrell (6'5",330) should give us several years of tremendous quarterback protection.
  13. I was following him for awhile, thinking that he might be our best bet. However, after getting Keith Jackson, I believe that we are set at RB. We should take the best running back that we can get every year and I think that we did that with Jackson. I believe that we can get too many. For example, I believe that Oscar Adaway is our best running back and I don't see him playing a heavy load this year because Torrey, Smith and Johnson are seniors and Siggers is a junior. He will have enough of a problem competing with true freshman Ragsdale. I move that the nominations cease.

  15. I'm not saying that he wasn't hurting to some degree last week but at halftime he was on the field nailing forty yard field goal kicks from a kicking tee.
  16. I didn't see it. The BYU/Navy game at BYU showed 0 but the Southern Miss site had no figure so they either didn't record attendance or have yet to report it although they have reported all other stats.
  17. It appears that there were only six games played before an audience this past week and North Texas came in second in national attendance behind UAB. The results: UAB 12,716 North Texas 7,611 Texas State 7,500 UTEP 6,047 Army 5,249 Memphis 4,537 It appears that the BYU/Navy and Southern Miss/South Alabama games were played before empty stands. Mark this on your calendar. It will be the first, last and only time that you will see us that high in "national" attendance.
  18. I don't get that either. I've heard that the team is down because several of his better players opted out this year supposedly due to the coronavirus. Of course, it could be that they just didn't want to play for Hopson and used the pandemic as an excuse.
  19. Yes, I was. I was moved from 206 to 208. Still on fourth row but now on the 25 where I was on the 45. They were going to leave me in 206 but move me to the twentieth row. I'm still recuperating from a broken hip and I couldn't climb that high.

  21. I don't know if he had been earlier but he wasn't at game time. He was practicing at warmup time kicking 40 yarders.
  22. I believe that HBU is having a split season. They will play 3 games in the fall and conference games in the spring.
