  1. Most of these sermons on You Tube are from the New Testament and the book of Daniel in the Old Testament. We are batting about 100% on Old Testament prophecy. I strongly agree on your "Be Prepared" statement.
  2. That man didn't get egg in his beer. I don't think that there's a portal for girls' soccer but perhaps we could have raided some stars from lesser teams.
  3. It was their first loss and they didn't show up until the second half. It's doubtful that any of the top teams are willing to play us in Denton so we'll not have an unbeaten team but this team is young and will do much better as the season wears on.
  4. I think that the opponent should run a straight T or Single Wing so that I can understand what they are doing.
  5. They do, but I believe that there were only 7,000 or so purchased. Maybe 11,000 attendance?
  6. I hate to say it but I don't believe that a 225 pounder is effective in a three man line against two three hundred plus linemen. I'm sure that he is quick but that's for a four man line IMO. Notice how Richards effectiveness was reduced when put on a three man line?
  7. True, but he is finally going to be without him after only seven seasons. Maybe he could recruit all left-handed quarterbacks and call them all "Harris."
  8. I agree that Chandler should stay. He'll be as good/better next year. But we need to give some serious consideration to the offensive line. We only lost two from the starting offensive line of last year, had the highest rated composite who had excelled at Georgia Tech in 2022 come in, had an extra good receiving corps and gave up more sacks. May not need a big fix but it needs a little more of something.
  9. You have to remember though that Jeremy played in the NFL for nine years so he should have a few dollars more.
  10. Question. Is this the same collective as the one that gave the basketball teams $100,000? Does the donor decide where he wants his donation to go or does the collective decide?
  11. I realize that he's gone but I'm hoping that he returns here for the TBT. If he had been eligible, I believe that the ? Green would have won the tournament.
  12. Admittedly I don't know the whole story but I understood that TCU released him. It seems as if it would be a formality to approve his request.
  13. Sissoko is improving as a rebounder but is not nearly as effective as Allen on offense. I see Sissoko as a relief to Allen or unless Allen gets in foul trouble.
  14. It's true that he transferred from Missouri but he still had four years of eligibility left. He played in three games his freshman thereby making that his redshirt season. He was injured his second season and did not appear at all. Last year he was a freshman and this year he is a sophomore which means that he still has two years of eligibility left. He will graduate next year, only his third season of playing. Hopefully, he could take his fourth season as a graduate student. He likes it here and might prefer doing that as opposed to transferring somewhere else. He should be well known by then and could cost some serious NIL money. But in my opinion he's worth it.
  15. Ah, yes. Bobby Iverson from Tulsa. He didn't quit to be a pastor; he quit because his mother was a Jehovah's Witness and in her opinion playing basketball was a sin. He could have been one of our greatest. He was terrific the year that he played. What a natural!
  16. The latest national figures show that Eric Morris is a good offensive coach. The passing offense is rated 13th in the nation. The run offensive is #36 nationally. We are ranked #11 in total offense. Not too many new coaches will beat that kind of performance. Now flip it to defense. The pass defense is #47. That's a good number but the problem is we do not get thrown against very often. That's the only decent defensive number. Both the rushing defense and the total defense rank 133 (dead last). Those figures tell that the run defense should be changed unless the team being played does not have a good run offense; in which case the 3-5-5 should be able to stop a passing team. It seems a rather simple fix; get the best available DC to replace the current one. Applications, anyone?
  17. I hate to post this but I'd hate even more if I didn't post it. What I'm referring to is that according to many we are approaching the end of this world. The signs are that there will be wars, earthquakes and famines. We are very likely on the verge of World War Three and the earthquakes are more numerous and we are also nearing a world wide food shortage. The end will be the Rapture when the saved in Christ will be snatched up in the air after the dead rise and will be taken to heaven. Those remaining will go through seven years of hell before they go to the Great White Throne Judgment. Most of those will be cast into hell. Those of you who do not know Jesus (especially) should begin learning about the end times. The best place to learn is in youtube.com/watch?N=RxZoOkymfgl. You have to subscribe to You Tube and you cannot have ad blockers. The sites that give the best information are INRI and pastor Allen Nolan. I know that Pastor Nolan requires subscriptions but his is the best to understand all of the End of Times. Many of these have time periods except the Rapture. The problem is that it is the first thing to happen so if you aren't saved you will need to start on that portion immediately. All life is eternal but you must spend it in heaven or hell.
  18. Well, you see, they have this fierce front three and the linebackers wait until they come to them and the back five control the passes. We might could run something like that if we could find three Booger Kennedys. Three Orrs and a couple of Davis' at linebacker and the defensive backs that Hayden Fry had. It's always seemed to me that the best coaches mold their offense and defense to the strength of their players; not to some offense or defense that looks good on paper. PS: I still like Eric as a person and a coach and I want him to succeed.
  19. Well, it's lost a fan. The black jerseys might as well be the jerseys that Darryl Dickey used in his last game. It's hard to read numbers and impossible to read names on them.
  20. I believe that your defense is around 114; we're dead last. I don't think that either of us are where we want to be.
  21. Generally true...but there are occasions where players are more inspired by a particular color. Lighter colors often don't inspire effort. While not on a uniform, Hayden Fry painted the opponent's dressing room pink at Fouts.
  22. Does anyone have any sort of record or feelings about wins and losses with each color jersey? I don't like the black jersey either but maybe we win more games wearing it.
  23. Because we were his first offer. Plus we wanted him as a safety...he seemed to prefer linebacker in spite of his size.
