  1. How do you give up a 3 there? We don’t deserve to win.
  2. I think you are underestimating the pressure he is feeling. My sources at SMU say they are not at all happy with him.
  3. Love to see the effort being put forth by this staff.
  4. This may be our most well attended game.
  5. I sure hope you are right but losing KD will hurt. That guy is a first ballot HOF in my opinion.
  6. They sort of remind me of Memphis as they have a solid base of local support.
  7. Know the foe: North Texas Mean Green What is now the University of North Texas began as Texas Normal College and Teacher Training Institute in 1890. The name changed to North Texas Normal College in 1894. From 1901 to 1923, the institution was known as North Texas State Normal College. The campus in Denton, TX, was called North Texas State Teachers College from 1923 to 1949. The name was shortened to North Texas State College in 1949. The transition to university status took place in 1961. The name was North Texas State University until 1988, when State was dropped. North Texas system The North Texas University system also has locations in Dallas, Fort Worth and Frisco. Frisco, coincidentally, is where James Madison won the Football Championship Subdivision title in 2017 with a 28-14 victory over Youngstown State when Pirates coach Mike Houston was directing the Dukes. There were 32,596 undergraduates in the fall of 2021 and 9,776 postgraduates. Location Denton is located about 40 miles northwest of Dallas. The driving distance from Greenville, NC, to Denton is 1,300 miles. Driving time is 18 hours, five minutes. Mascot, colors North Texas has had an eagle for a mascot since 1922. The mascot’s nickname is Scrappy. School colors are green and white. Nickname North Texas teams are nicknamed Mean Green. The nickname developed when the 1966 football team was second nationally in rush defense. Defensive tackle “Mean” Joe Greene, a four-time Super Bowl champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was a sophomore on the 1966 team. read more: https://bonesville.net/2023/02/03/the-new-american-part4-north-texas/
  8. Vladislov Goldin would like a word with you.
  9. The rankings mean nothing as I have posted 100 times on here.
  10. Don't get me wrong, I hope he does well but goodness, according to Bert the dude is making basically $500K! Almost double all the rest. That's a lot of scratch where I come from. Can't argue with what he accomplished at ISU.
  11. Hotel ZaZa is nice but not cheap. There are plenty of good options there unlike in Denton sadly.
  12. You know it must really suck to be UTSA. First, they have a used car salesman as a head coach that is the biggest conman in college football. Secondly, they play in a rented stadium that is 20 miles away from their shitty campus. Their basketball team plays in a high school gym and is an embarrassment to the AAC. Traylor has been so lucky with Frank Harris, a guy he didn't even recruit.
  13. I'll take dudes over stars any day. Trust In Morris (TIM)
  14. That's why I am sort of disappointed when people bring up the former coach and make comparisons etc and try to justify and compare them. This staff is such a breath of fresh air and I am so excited about where they can take us. There is really no comparison to me.
  15. Singled out a flop? The #1 recruit in the class and they crowed about it and let everyone get their hopes up knowing he would never qualify the entire time and then waited until almost the 1st game to sheepishly let everyone know he didn;t have his grades. Sorry Charley, but you really need to stop polishing a turd.
  16. I am not aware of any. I would put this class up against anything Littrell ever did.
  17. You are joking right? Littrell had way more time to recruit that class, and half those recruits never played a down. The top recruit of the class William Johnson was ineligible for grades at his time of signing and they kept that from the fanbase until two weeks after the season started. There were some good players out of the class for sure and Mason Fine was his biggest recruit, but he had absolutely no competition for Fine and Graham Harrell was the one who found Fine.
  18. I think so. You are right, the chances of the entire staff staying intact is 0% but they will replace it with similar. They are just too good. I think the next class will be off the charts good. They are finally utilizing all of the potential we have had in terms of location and facilities. I also think the AAC is a big plus now as well.
