I'm with you. Anxious to see if there Hodge's offense feeds the post less frequently or at least creates movement elsewhere to open opportunities to pass out of it. With Abou or McCasland, it often felt like once Abou had the ball, everyone else was checked out of the possession.

Losing Tylor, Abou, (2 of our top 3 rated players in his system had they stayed in Denton), Kai and McCasland likely make this pre-season projections a real crap shoot.

Can't say I was otherwise familiar with him, but was intrigued to stumble into this interview on The Ringer's One Shining Podcast CBB show. Pierce Simpson, Sr. Editorial Producer and On-Camera Host for Complex, apparently attended UNT from 2010 - 2014 and considered walking on after making a name for himself at the rec.

Rather than thinking how we can punish or turn our back on players for finding opportunities elsewhere, I think we should look for ways to celebrate with greater enthusiasm those who demonstrate an enduring commitment to UNT and spend all 4 years here. On senior day, all seniors should be honored but particular recognition given to those who signed here out of high school.  Build that into a goal worth achieving and add positive incentive for players to hang around.
