It's great to see the money coming in. The name sounds a bit like "apology", but who cares. We need to know what they want the stadium name to be and then let it grow on us... Just like the wing zone and the new uniforms and the new coach etc etc etc

I apologize if this has already been posted somewhere, but tickets to the away games are now on sale. I just ordered my tickets to the FIU game from the ticket office. However, I think they may only on be sale for season ticket holders right now. She did ask if I was a season ticket holder and had to look up my account.

I'd just offer up that we need to remember that within the "non fan" category are all potential future fans. I'm thinking beyond the uniform opinions. I'd like to see UNT respected by current "non fans" and for UNT to put an appetizing product out their for non-fans. I think we are doing that, or at least on the way. Again, I'm talking bigger picture than uniform colors. To that extent, I care what non fans think about things that are UNT. I want our fan base to grow.

I emailed the Helmet Project guy with the info on the new helmet. (He and I had exchanged emails earlier in the summer and he'd added the 2011 helmet based on what was in the Mean Joe commercial.). I agree with what GreenBat is saying, except the "just sit back" part. Don't just sit back. It's time to be "big time" fans as well. Join the Mean Green Club. Buy season tickets. Put Mean Green flair on your car (number of pieces is up to you). Post the schedule in your office. Wear green on Fridays. Talk up the Mean Green around the water cooler. And when Saturdays come around, bring people with you, pack the stands, get up, and make some noise! I can't wait to maximize the acoustics in our new home.

What's the over/under on the first time a field goal bounces off that eagle's noggin'. If it's hollow, it should make a nice "GONG" sound.

Different shade of green and the Dickey helmet had "North Texas" outlined in black. Looks like no black on the helmets or unis, unless I missed something.

So I'm thinking about driving up for the Tulsa game. Does anyone know what their tailgating scene is like? Do they allow tailgating at your parking spot? I have a grill that mounts on the back of my SUV.
