What did he say?
Locker room is changing. Players are buying into what is being built and they know they should have won this game. That’s what I recall.

He did a post game interview on the radio simulcast. Download the Varsity app. They will post the On Demand replay soon.

What a maddening game
That game and the 7 OT game against FIU (when UNT had never previously gone to OT) were two of the oddest UNT games I’ve ever witnessed in person.

If memory serves on several times when we scored our player gave an eagle sign with his hand and was flagged for un- sportsman like conduct The penalty was enforced when we kicked off giving Navy great field position and cost us the game.
I remember the same. He through up the talon while running to the endzone. I always thought it odd that if they were going to call that, why did they treat it as an after the play penalty. Poor officiating.

Why is the Collin County watching party location never on there?
16 hours ago, greenminer said:two questions U90G:
1) can I assume these locations for all MBB/FB away games, or are they specific to FB?
2) Which Twin Peaks? There is one down the street from me. I can't say the same about MartyB's or Eastside. This is the ad that the Athletic Department runs. The Collin County Watch Parties are affiliated with the Alumni Association. I’m assuming these three restaurant partners paid the Athletic Department for the advertising. My understanding is that all 3 are Denton locations. I have no idea about whether they will do other sports as well.

Well. Maybe McKinney is the only watch party. Even Eastside is only marketing a watch party for the Red River Rivalry. . Et tu Brute?

Come join fellow Mean Green fans as UNT takes on Navy in football. There will be plenty of North Texas swag as well as a drawing for UNT prizes at half time. Drink specials include $4 draft Dos Equis. Don't miss this opportunity to watch the Mean Green take it to the Midshipmen. It's the next best thing to being there!

Oversimplify? Okay let’s look at numbers. Rogers before this season had 319 pass attempts against FBS opponents completing 67% passes with a 2 to 1 TD/INT ratio. Stone Earle had well under 200 pass attempts with the vast majority being against FCS, completing a lower percentage and only topping 200 yards in a game twice. It was very clear that Rogers experience makes him better equipped to handle the speed of FBS defenses.
My point was that more goes into who the starting quarterback should be for a new season than just looking at game film.

A smart coach knows that what you do in practice is entirely different than what you do when the “bright lights” are on.
If only there had been game tape of both quarterbacks in actual games prior to this season…hmmm 🤔🤔
Game film like this when Earle was with ACU or are you speaking to Littrell’s limited use of Earle in the RedZone?
I agree that Rogers is the best fit, but we shouldn’t oversimplify the decision.

I had the stats from Mean Green Sports up this morning while working on it. It's possible that either I missed it, or they didn't have it updated properly. I can update later this morning when I'm back on my laptop.
Got it. I recalled the fumble and confirmed it on the ESPN box score a few minutes ago.

What a difference a week makes. Congratulations to Coach Morris on his first victory as the leader of our Mean Green! It was nice to see that the staff made adjustments. The defense came out in a 4 man front a few times and they didn't give up a first down until the 10 minute mark of the 2nd quarter. We gave up 432 yards this week, which is a 16% improvement from last week. On offense, we had 47 rushes for 249 yards and 41 (25 completions) passes for 313 yards. We produced a total of 562 yards. There were 0 turnovers which was nice. The team had 9 penalties for 115 yards tonight. I am sure there will be a big emphasis on this during the next two week. Regardless, we won last night. GMG!
Observations:
Chandler Rogers was efficient and made plays last night. He had a great command of the offense and did a fantastic job throwing the ball. He completed around 60% of his passes (24-41) for 313 yards and 2 TDs. Additionally, he ran for 45 yards. It seemed most of his runs were for first downs when the pocket broke down. Overall, he was very impressive!
Roderic Burns was great all night as well. He was open all night and made several big plays for us. He has 11 receptions for 134 yards. Also, shoutout to Ja'Mori Maclin and Damon Ward they caught both of Chandler's touchdown passes.
Ayo Adeyi the La Tech killer had a hell of a game. He had several big runs for us last night. It seems he always does well against La Tech. I was excited to see him step up tonight. He ended up rushing for 148 yards and 2 TDs. Also, shoutout to Oscar Adaway who had 44 yards rushing tonight. He had multiple tough runs that set up first downs for us.
Shout out to Noah Rauschenberg and Sawyer Evans tonight. If Pat McAfee watched our game film, I am sure he would be excited to watch these 2 guys. Noah drilled a 25, 22, 48 and 31 yard field goal (game winner). Sawyer Evans had a 64 yard punt that pinned La Tech deep.
The defense played much better tonight. They gave up 82 yards less this week, caused multiple 3 and outs, and also had a few big stops on 4th down. I was encouraged to see the coaches make adjustments and play us in the 4 man front on some drives. Shoutout to Mazin "Amazing" Richards who had 5 tackles, 3 for loss, and 1 sack. It was nice to see him blitzing from the edge again. Rob Brown had 3 QB hurries tonight. He did a great job on the 4th down stop late in the game as well. Kevin Wood was our leading tackler with 9 total (7 solo). Logan Wilson was solid in coverage and had 8 tackles (6 solo) tonight. The 2 redshirt freshman Patrick Smith and Ethan Wesloski continue to have big games for us. Patrick had 7 tackles (2 solo) and Ethan had 6 tackles (3 solo). They both did great jobs making tackles in space. Bryce Linder also had 6 tackles (3 solo). It was nice to see the defense respond to the adversity they have faced the last 2 weeks. I hope we continue to improve each week and add more wins. GMG!
Not sure where these stats came from, but they don’t include Adaway’s fumble.
