Fitzgerald continued to work at Whataburger even after he earned his scholly. A poster made the statement that the athletes had no time for a part time job. Yeah. Some people stamped the High School Coach label on Todd Dodge so hard that they forget he had a couple years as an assistant coach at the collegiate level under his belt. The way some people post about him, you'd think he'd have been better off sitting on his duff from 1994-2006 rather than filling that void with high school coaching.

That Ohio game didn't come close to being as bad as that first home game against Western Kentucky, weather wise. Rainy and barely above freezing. More people attend scrimmages.

There is why he got fired in black and white. He referred to FIU as one of the smaller D1 institutions. That Dickey-like attitude will get you fired every time. With a student body size of over 50K, FIU is actually among the 25 largest universities in the country. Know your school, will ya? <touch of sarcasm with a dash of sincerity>
