  1. those are very rare...only 8 in existance...so if you do manage to come (could've changed the spelling) across one of those, cherish it.
  2. AND THEY'RE COMPLIMENTING OUR FREE THROW SHOOTING!!!
  3. Did we get married and you failed to tell me? And what about Barnett...you may want to watch your back becasue he strikes me as the jealous type.
  4. I saw this line too and it made me smile...not that I think its true (we'd give them a hell of a game), Davidson is getting a lot of national love and they just hung well with number 1 UNC...but just to be mentioned with a team like this shows the giant steps UNT has taken under JJ
  5. Hmmm...well since there are no conference openings...and a school that offers five mens athletic programs probably isn' the most attractive candidate, lets stick to the topic at hand. I don't know how active the Athletic Department is in the dorms, but from my days I remember the extent of the athletic events advertising was a indiscriminant poster taped on the community board. That needs to be the place to start: send the cheerleaders, or better...dance team, dorm storming and/or create some sort of compition between halls. After that hit up the fraternities and sororities...you can get into meetings and announce up coming events...again use the dance team in the fraternity meetings and some basketball players in the sorority meetings (the players would get a kick out of the reception they would get)...and the Greeks are insecure by nature and only feel comfortable traveling in packs...they'd bring good numbers.
  6. you'll be getting a preview from me either later today or tomorrow depending on how work goes today
  7. be careful man...no more surguries on UNT's dime
  8. It is definently too soon to be terribly concerned with RPI (currently 54)...but until January we need to be pulling for the Sun Belt to win big non-conference games like we won tonight...some more big wins for our conference mates like this and the Sun Belt will be inching closer to the possibility of a second NCAA bid...and with UNT being among the SBC elite, a second bid would mean that both the conference and our program has turned a huge corner toward national respectability. What you might have missed last night whilst celebrating - ULM - 65 12. Michigan State - 83 - Michigan St. had a 12 point half time lead that ULM cut down to one early in the second half before the Spartans distanced on the shoulders of Drew Neitzel's 15 and freshman Chris Allen's 17. Jordan Payne was the only Warhawk in double figures, scoring 26, and knocking down 7 of 16 from 3. Orlando Early may want to consider a slightly bigger line up against a physical team like MSU...he started his typical 4 guard line up and ULm got out-rebounded 48 to 19. Troy - 133 Paul Quinn - 131 OT - Shootout doesn't even come close to describing this game...82 combined 3pt field goal attempts, 41 each, combining for 264 total points. Justin Jonus led the way for Troy with 44, including 8 three pointers and a game tying free throw to force overtime. SMU may have their hands full...both times they play the PQ Tigers who were paced by the 42 point performance of guard Damien Chisolm. UNO - 72 NW State - 66 - Joe Pasternak opens his career at UNO with a W...and a balanced score sheet. JUCO transfer Kendall Dykes led the Privateers with 19, all conference guard Bo McCaleb chipped in 16 and post Ben Elias added an unexpected 14 on 6 of 6 shooting to lead the way for UNO who have a big match up with 18. N.C. State on Sunday. ASU - 63 Utah Valley St. - 67 Bad loss for the SBC as ASU falls to the D-1 Independent Wolverines in Jonesboro. Only six players scored for the Indians, and only 3 of those scored more than 4 points led by Adrian Banks 25. ASU is going to need to find more balance if it wants to contend in this conference this season. UL-Lafayette - 79 North Alabama - 67 - The Cajuns opened up their season with a victory over D-II North Alabama on the shoulders of Elijah Milsap's double double (21 points, 10 rebounds). UL-L will know if it is a contender as it enters a tough four game stretch with road games at La. Tech, Oral Roberts and Tennesse with a home game with UAB sandwiched in between. UNT's win last night is clearly the biggest in the conference at this early juncture...Denver's win against Wyoming is big for their program and for the Belt as its a win against a two-bid conference, same can be said for UALR's blow out win against Loyala Marymount. Strong showings by Troy against Alabama, USA against Ole Miss and FAU against Boston College should help these programs in later games. UL-Monroe may be the biggest disappointment so far...1-2, their losses by a combined 47 points to Kansas and Michigan St...while wins were unlikely, more competitve showings for a team picked near the top of the conference would've done a lot for appearance...these are the kinds of losses that severely hurt a mid-major conference.
  9. so great!! and i am so jealous...wish i could've been there. GO MEAN GREEN!!!
  10. video tape it and send it to me and all is forgiven
  11. you know...its one thing to mention that name in some random thread three days before a game against cameron...its a whole other thing to mention it now ass face...you better hope UNT closes this out b/c I just got a thanksgiving bonus and i may just buy a plane ticket and come kick your ass...ASS
  12. Thats all your daughter needs to know...scene control man...don't let the wife dictate this one
  13. Im so loving on this kid...once he slows down a bit and matures...what a stud he's gonna be
  14. off night for Q...should've made that catch and had an easy dunk...its tough when you get benched with 2 fouls so quickly
  15. OSU is a good team and you had to know they were going to come out gunning and make a run...just gotta hang in there, be smart with the ball and keep getting it inside...Wooden and Williams have had some bunnies, Wooden is getting them to drop, Williams isn't but they will
  16. just announced a crowd of just under 7000...great job to everybody there.
  17. got the early nerves out of the way...white is settling in very nicely and quincy will be back in the second half.
  18. awesome thanks...anywone who can see the game...whats the crowd look like?
  19. I hope they have road games against UCONN, Yale and Boston College...I'll be more than proud to be the only person in the stands in green...what shade you ask...I'm not telling Annapolis is do-able too...would love a return game with Navy.
  20. Most point guards White will face this year max out at about 6'3"...and I doubt highly he saw too many much taller than that in H.S. If OSU sticks with its starting line-up it has in its first three games, Obi Muonelo will be starting at point and he's a long and athletic 6'5"with a good outside shot...White would be giving up 7-8 inches and Muonelo can shoot right over him. 5'11" Byron Eaton will see plenty of minutes for OSU...so get White minutes against him. Add the fact that your most experienced guard is Collin Dennis...and a good start is key in a game like this. As for Hogans, if he is athletic as I've heard...haven't seen him at all...getting him some minutes at the 3 as a defensive stopper could be a huge role for him...despite any sort of a shot...surround him with scorers and he won't have to get a bucket ala Bruce Bowen.
