Houston-Rice was in Reliant, and although the Houston Chronicle reported 40,000 tickets sold, my friends who were there said that it had to've been about 15K that showed up.

That's just not right. I went to the stadium with a friend at 11:30 am and was told there were plenty of student tickets left, and we picked up our own student tickets... the students need to be able to get in the game.

So much of this stuff sounds so yummy... but I must admit, the apple pie moonshine has me intrigued. We are not tailgating today because I (the mom of the bunch) am sick, so I am resting up until we can head to the PACS tent to say hello to friends and go into the game. If we were tailgating, we would likely have made our standard boneless chicken stuffed with diced cheese and jalapenos, then wrapped in bacon and grilled, slapped with a little teriyaki sauce at the end. Good stuff.

This is my thought as well. 5 home games, one on a Tuesday night (during the winding down of Rangers baseball), and one against Texas Southern... it's just a little disappointing. I have high hopes for NT football and, while it will take some time to achieve some things, this schedule feels like a sizable step back.

I will believe it when I see it... but I think this would be a good move for NT.
