For those of you that have never been to a game at CH Collins (probably very few if you have lived in Denton for the past 7 years), you will be in for a nice treat. I've always loved the atmosphere this place has to offer and every seat has a great view. I would not have been ashamed if the university had asked for Denton ISD's permission to add 3K seats and start using this place for our games back in 2004. So what if we would have been the only division 1 team to use a high school field (someone should look into that, didn't check my facts - just seemed right)... that place is a monumental improvement over fouts.

I was told by a rep from the Athletic Dept. that there will be more parking by the new stadium than there was at Fouts.
I was told by a rep that "Dodgeball" would lead us to eternal glory.

Roosters or Metzlers?

My TV will now be muted the rest of the Rangers season. I've never heard such horrific play-by-play for a MAJOR LEAGUE team.
I always loved Lewin and my dream broadcast crew would have been him and Razor in a booth together (don't care which sport). Sadly, Lewin just isn't translating to radio for me
We are incredibly fortunate to have someone as talented as Hank... thanks for all that you do in the booth and your extra-curricular work around town.

This team will go as far as Brandon Webb can carry them... I know how terrifying that sounds.
If Feliz is named a starter after spring, I can see him landing on the DL for half the season. We have also lost our good luck charm Clint Hurdle.
When Chris Davis makes the opening day roster (obviously not the starting lineup) we will have a lot of cooks in the infield kitchen that will be entertaining to watch.

If your group doesn't fill up, feel free to join DATBU (Denton Area Teachers Baseball Union) #78086 for an online yahoo draft on Tuesday 3/29 at 7:30. We have 4 out of 10 so far and are playing for nothing more than the love of fantasy sports. The league is already published as a custom league and does not require a password to join.
have fun

Denton = Roosters
there is really no reason to mistake any other places around here for having "good" food. I'm sorry pourhouse... thanks for hosting so many radio shows and having the giant screen but your food and drinks are as mediocre as the movie tavern. However, I am not sorry to el guapo's. the only halfway decent item they can serve is a tortilla as an appetizer. i keep wanting la milpa to impress me since i hate saying that miguelitos is our best mexican restaurant... something else for Sanger to hold over our head's besides Babe's.
Clark's in Tioga is a little bit of a drive away but has a good atmosphere and great portions.
I don't include Hannah's in the above equation due to the total value of their complete menu costing as much as the down payment on my house. (please, no 100% financing comments necessary)

i hope we can re-schedule the @ Tennessee game sometime relatively soon. I was in Knoxville yesterday and the red velvet cake at Litton's is out of this world.

I'm even more angry this morning than I was last night. I've seen the replay of the moving screen about a dozen times and I get absolutely sick to my stomach when I see the ref standing right on top of the play. I refuse to be a respectful loser after a game where that call was missed and the Odufuwa (elbowless and facing the opposite direction) intentional foul was made.
Yes, we made a few turnovers. Yes, we missed a few shots and free throws. However, the refs decided this game in the end.
I wasn't upset like this after we were obviously beat and out-played by FA, D, WKU, SHS, or even ULM (where we clearly beat ourselves).
Even Norm was calling out the refs on his show today... and I rarely agree with him.

I can't deal with both this and the thought of Houston running up 70 on us in a few months.

One of my favorite parts of the pit this year was Josh White's grandmother (i think that was the relationship)... She might have been our best fan.
After the first game I thought she was going to drive me crazy with the constant screaming but I got used to it by game 2. In fact, I know I'm going to miss it next year. I'd rather RV fund Josh's family with season tickets than get new lighting.

ULL must have invited the elementary dribbling team from lewisville along with their families a few times.

just as long as we are not giving out half million dollar bonuses while attendance is drastically falling like Tech. apparently, tuberville had a clause that earned him that much to simply "not leave".
didnt we have the highest average attendance in the conference this year?

What a great way for these guys to leave home. The effort was amazing and I loved how we forced Denver into so many bad shots. I haven't seen Denver's team shooting percentage tonight but it cant be that great.
Tonight's tip, don't get on Kedrick's bad side. He had that look in his eye like he was going to hurt someone when all the fouls started breaking out in the 2nd half.

I can get over the fact that they got rid of the guy I preferred. Thankfully, they gave me the opportunity several months ago to get that frustration out of my system. However, when getting used to a "new guy", it would be nice if they had a little bit of pbp experience or at a minimum 1 good catch-phrase. At the professional level, there should be a prerequisite that you have a couple hundred college/minor league games under your belt. I don't like being the guy that bashes somebody else for doing a job that I could never do... but they had a lot of experienced options that I know wouldn't get on most peoples nerves.
Does anyone else think that moving Dave Barnett from radio to TV would have been a better choice? Obviously, Nadel could never leave his radio post.
