  1. I was at the tire shop because of a flat and missed meeting up with the Arkansas fans. We had the game on and customers and employees alike were laughing like crazy and just in awe. That was such a bizarre play!
  2. Hey, everyone! Sorry I haven't put together as many events and let all of you know about them, but I have been even busier with doing a lot of comedy shows. However, this Saturday, we will be with the Arkansas alumni at cold beers & cheeseburgers at 5625 North 7th Street. The game will be on at 1 p.m. Arizona time.
  3. Without checking...I think they are single game and possible single season stats. Didn't Vizza have like 600+ yards and like 6 or 7 tds in one game? Not sure about the season records but if he stays healthy and consistent he will probably knock those out.
  4. Gotta disagree with you here. Get a P5 school to do a home-and-home, and there will be oodles of football fans excited to see them (and not pay for travel), even if they aren't alums of the school. Get a Michigan or Penn State or Stanford in there and it will be packed. This will require better scheduling, but we can't schedule like that without space to accommodate.
  5. "Stop" is his safe word? Newbie.
  6. Hey again fellow Mean Green! Just wanted to let you know some upcoming events in case you end up in the relevant cities. Cerebus said it was cool to occasionally put these updates since I'm not actively trying to sell you stuff. If you find yourself in Phoenix the last Wednesday of the month, I'm regularly appearing at Lolo's Chicken and Waffles downtown (1220 S. Central) for clean comedy at 7:30 p.m. They have the show every Wednesday, but I'm there the last week every month. He now usually has me headline since I have loads of clean jokes and can perform as long as he needs me to! And you know you've hit the big time when you headline at Lolo's Chicken and Waffles 😉 Most other Wednesdays, I'll be hosting the open mic at Crack-Ups Comedy Club, adjacent to Toso's Sports Bar and Restaurant, at 2401 W. Union Hills Drive. Saturday, June 30th at 6 p.m. I'll be hosting and producing a clean comedy show featuring some nationally touring comedians who have also appeared in commercials, tv shows, and indie films. It is part of the Duke City Comic Con, taking place from Friday June 29th to Sunday July 1st. If you have purchased a pass either for Saturday or the whole weekend, it is included with your Convention admission. It is at the Hotel Albuquerque Old Town. I will also be selling my art there all weekend and will be doing a live watercolor painting demo that will be raffled off. Friday, June 13th, I'm producing and featuring in a Cosplay and Art Comedy Show at Comedy Off Main Street at 38 S. McDonald in Mesa, AZ to coincide with their 2nd Friday monthly Art Walk. It will be hosted by my friend who is a famous cosplayer (costume model and promoter) known as AZ Powergirl Cara Nicole. Times TBA. The board game I'm illustrating is in its final stages, and we will hopefully be Kickstarting in July. It is called To Grandmother's House and will be an all-ages game with lots of monsters and other fun supernatural stuff. If any of you happen to be in the Phoenix or Albuquerque areas on those dates, I hope to see you there...and be sure to say hi! You can stay updated more often than every few months if you want to follow my social media below. Thanks and I hope to be able to visit Mean Green Country again soon! 7. I'm not thinking undefeated over all. I'm just thinking if we can knock out those 2 that FAU will probably be our first loss if we have a good season.
  8. Honeslty if we take SMU with their new coach and a seemingly down-at-the-moment Arkansas, we could be facing FAU undefeated. And I have to admit they're the most daunting opponent on our schedule.
  9. That's funny. A lot of grad classes had professors that would do similar things.
  10. To be fair, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when my (and probably some others' here) ancestors from European countries came here, for people in their economic class, Ireland, France, Germany, Scotland, and even England could have been considered "shitholes." (Again, maybe not for the upper echelons at that time, but certainly for those in the lower class.) I think another side of the issue is why we should concern ourselves with which country people emigrate from rather than whether they are willing to put in the effort to create a life and future here.
  11. Yay! I love Leila. We had so much fun in our French classes. We were 2 of the few who could speak well enough to joke in French during class discussion. Our awesome TF was Shelley Bruce, who totally encouraged it because it was a practical use of what we were learning!
  12. Those are the 2 we're best known for over the years. By numbers, Arts and Sciences and Business are the largest. Education and Business are usually pretty close so Ed may be larger some years.
  13. We could see the aftereffects of the launch from western AZ! I didn't realize it was so far off because it was so huge it looked like it was out near the mountains here.
  14. I saw that too. Not an unreasonable claim at all, especially with historical precedent and with them taking out the one team who beat both teams in the title game.
  15. Dude...I'm critical in situations like this too, but the vast majority of police want to see as little of this fatal unprofessionalism as we do, whether it is labeled as murder or accidental shooting or anything in between. Even if it was just poor judgment and not a dirty cop as we've seen in other cases, it's not like it's all of them. I've even known of ranked police officers to make light of this sort of thing in the past, but with it being in the public eye more now than ever, you don't really get much of that anymore. It's online punditry that is more polarized than the police themselves, and more so all the time. There are still apologists out there wearing blue, but many want to be seen as a force for good and not as a danger to any random person at the wrong time. More bad cops and just plain bad decisions are being caught on camera now, so they are taking precautions to avoid these more than before when it was an officer's word against...pretty much anyone else's. I'm still dismayed at the current state of things, but they are taking steps to change it...and the attitudes of many officers is showing a big cultural shift as well. Note that this statement isn't in regard to the current specific topic, but the fact that it's being relegated to the larger topic of police violence as it pertains to unarmed persons.
  16. I don't live in Texas anymore but wanted to share...and hope you will too! If she fits your political leanings I hope you will support an alum. www.SashaForJP.com
  17. Jesus the American Airlines Associated Conference of American Athletics in America is getting killed. Of course since they are sort of a "cusp" conference they've had less against G5s and more against P5s than the other conferences. But if memory serves they haven't done so hot against their P5 bowl opponents either.
  18. I can see that...but I would hope that even those who find it funny would also agree that the NCAA screwed up and that it's still wrong, even if humorously so.
  19. Very cool move. Also haha @FirefightnRick aren't you kind of thanking yourself?
  20. I'm confused...multiple people seem to be defining the same thing differently, all with the same degree of certainty. @BillySee58 since you're our recruiting expert...can you shed some light?
  21. Glad we're making progress with the defense. Really hope we recruit more on the OL before this class is over though.
  22. Sucks for Akron that this bowl game kinda made us look good.
  23. Yep. Switch the opponents for closer and more interesting games. It would probably be FAU by 13 and us by 6 in the final scores. I was thinking the same. The announcers were talking about that being a rough start and I was like...for who? If FAU is this good next year and OU doesn't have Mayfields replacement rolling on day 1..expect the biggest upset of the year in week 1.
  24. Tears don't count as lube?
