  1. I hope (or guess) we have a list of people who purchased Heart of Dallas Bowl tickets and those who aren't yet season ticket holders we offer them some sort of special deal. We can offer up some seats in the lower bowl on the edges for say $75-$100 or above the student section or wing zone for $50 or so bucks as a show of thanks and to keep them involved. Current season ticket holders could possibly add seats on at a special rate for 2014. I've mentioned before Kansas State has a deal where if you attend (ticket scanned) 5 of how many ever home games you get season tickets in non-premium areas for $99. I think we could offer something like that.
  2. Good deal for anyone sitting on the fence about going to the game.

  4. All the basketball issues aside this is a pretty cool thing they do for the kids of DISD.
  5. Lol, that's great....same thing going on over here.
  6. While I don't think he gets/takes/offered this gig I do sadly worry that attedance at games may ultimately lead him to start searching around. He has been very passionate about getting people in the stands and while we have had some good crowds we have also had some flops. I know money talks but every time he talks he mentions attendance so this would be my one concern about him potentially leaving. With this being said I think him and RV sit down and get whatever additional dollars and years worked out and he stays for the forseeeable future.
  7. Oldguystudent.. who is worse... 614 losses for the Cats... 24 wins in the 1980's which I lived thru... let me know...
  8. Had no affiliation to UNT at all. I grew up in Manhattan, Kansas and was an avid K-State fan (so there is not a person on here who has seen worse football than me). I moved to Texas, long story short I had a little boy and am not able to get back to Kansas so I adopted UNT as my team in 2010. I have to say I can not be more pleased with my decision. I have met alot of nice people and everyone in the athletic department has been nothing but the best to me and my family. Because of this I now have alot more green in my closet than I do purple. I look forward to what the future holds for UNT athletics and I believe in this program 100%.
  9. Family heading up to Tulsa for this one... looking forward to the trip.. might be in the minority but I kinda like Tulsa as a town.
  10. This one counts.. .the 5:00 tip is horrible but I'll be there and look forward to kicking off a great weekend to be a Mean Green fan.
  11. Typically I don't believe 99% of this is junk but I haven't heard one word about Mac hanging it up http://footballrumormill.com/2013/10/28/the-rumor-mill-college-football-coaching-news-and-rumors-monday-oct-28/ Yes I know the Rice game is priority number 1 but this suprised me.
  12. I would like to see if we get stopped running the ball on first down (and everyone knows we'll be running on first down) that we alter our plans and throw on first down (novel idea isn't it?). The sprint out by DT and throw to Darnell on the an out pattern has worked golden for us. This is game that by halftime we should all be sitting around drinkin our "pops" and talking about Halloween night.. I hope our gameplan and play allows us to do so. For the record I believe it will.
  13. I'm in... with 2 others for sure... one is a Bama homer and they play at 2:30. Appreciate the hook up.
  14. Lol....diamonds or a t-shirt??? I hope I chose right. Went to the athletic center they are setup just inside from 1-5 each day.
  15. Just picked up my Apogee After Dark t-shirt, it's nice and thank you for whomever put effort into this. It's $5 go freakin buy one, if you choose to wear it great if not so be it.
  16. Did someone call him to confirm this? (I kid, I kid)... Simple thought from me.. Good luck and time to move on (100% sure our coaches have).
  17. Great crowd tonight. Enjoyed seeing the wingzone. Thank you to those who came out, i know the team appreciates it.
  18. AGREE Flyonthewall... by know means is this all on D.T., its just something I tend to focus on alot (for some reason). I tend to have plenty of choice words in the stands for the some play calling and the slow development of plays.
  19. Really nothing else to add KRAM and Cooley's statement but just letting anyone who reads this that had anything to do with last nights event... thank you... that was a fun event and I'm glad I made the trek down 380 at 6:00 (that new Wal Mart in Crossroads is going to wreak havoc).
  20. I would like just once tomorrow to lean over to the person next me and say "We looked off the primary receiver and thru the ball to a secondary receiver" That is all...
  21. FYI for those asking about the time... its from 6:00-8:00. Hopefully a nice turn out and a fun event for our kiddos.
  22. Fantastic ideas. I would love to see some efforts dedicated to young fans (15 or so and below). Thought would be something along the lines for every ticket purchased you can bring one person in that is 15 or younger free. Positives: Cheaper for families, encourage kids to start cheering for the Mean Green (venture to say its a rare thing in schools to see a kid wearing UNT gear.... Mine does by the way). I feel very passionate about the importance of getting kids involved earlier and the benefits it can have in our program's future.
  23. Kj86, dont know you but that is where we are staying. Great location and an easy stumble from Bourbon. Look forward to drinkin with some Mean Green Friday and Saturday. We fly out at 8:20 or so on Friday so we'll be having Hand Grenades by 11.
