golfingomez replied to Glory to the Green's topic in Mean Green Football
i would agree with you, but UNT has beaten UTEP and Rice over the past few years consistently and Sam Houston is... not good. -

If the Conference Tournament started today....
golfingomez replied to HoosMeanGreen's topic in Mean Green Basketball
this conference is going to have tough games regardless of where you end up... would i rather be a 3 or 4 seed, absolutely. but the tournament is going to be rough no matter how you slice it -
i mean... he wasn't alone...

The remaining schedule is below, there are two big games, including this one and then four games that we have to win (East Carolina will most likely be the most pissed off to play us). If we win on Sunday, we can really have a good chance to finish the season strong, I would even consider bringing back Rubin for FAU. If we lose to UAB, my vote is to rest him until the conference tourney. @UAB2/18 2:00 PM vsUTSA2/24 3:00 PM @Tulane2/28 6:00 PM vsEast Carolina3/3 2:00 PM vs24FAU3/6 7:00 PM @Rice3/9 7:00 PM Just a quick look at the schedule of those ahead of us. South Florida has to play FAU, SMU, @Charlotte Charlotte has to play @Memphis, South Florida FAU has to play @South Florida, SMU, @Memphis, @North Texas, Memphis (ROUGH) SMU has to play Memphis, @FAU, @South Florida, @UAB We're obviously not going to win the regular season, but we should at least move up to 3-4 with above average play

Jah and Dave going with the monochromatic look... but it's pretty clear that this video would have been so much better had the interviewees actually been wearing GREEN!

First off, Grant did that for years... and brought home multiple championships... i would hardly call that lucky Regarding this team, we played 8 on Sunday, with the 8th man providing that 'breather' for the starters that you were asking for. This is with Rubin and CJ being out... so if they had them in, Hodges would have had a 10 man rotation... While i understand that injuries happen, Hodge is running a pretty deep roster compared to most teams
-
At this point i would assume Rubin is out until the conference tourney

Yes, I'm not really sure why he transferred to Tulsa, based on his play at La Tech, i thought he could have gone somewhere better

lots to discuss from watching last night... but this game turned into one of the nightmare games by the first media timeout of the second half... you could tell where it was trending from there. This game really boils down to a defensive collapse... maybe the team got scared of the foul situation or maybe Hodge just got outcoached, but UAB had more open baskets than i remember giving up in a long time. Outside of all that, here's how we ended each period: -The end of the first half saw our lead shrink from 17 to 9 in the last 3:18 -The end of regulation we have a tie game and the ball with 16 seconds (shot clock off) and we take our shot with 8 seconds remaining. UAB goes down the floor and gets an EASY bucket. -End of overtime we had the ball with 6 seconds left. and we dribble to the right side of the court, which is filled with every player on the court and throw up an "oh shit, the shot clock is going to expire" shot... where is the spacing? Even if we assume Edwards is keeping the ball, there were too many people down there for him to find an open space Frustrating, to say the least.

i dont know what is worse, the refs or the announcers
