Why not add Utah St. as well and have 3 pods of 7; Pacific Coast, Southwest and East Coast. Each team would play 3 home, 3 away within their pod and 1 game from each of the other 2 pods, 1 home and 1 away. Each school would only have to make one cross country trip per year in football. For the conf championship you could take three division winners with the best record receiving a bye. Another option is to have pods with no divisions and the two best conference records play for the conf championship.

This team has great heart and a great leader! I will be at the game Thursday and will do my best to bring 9 others with me. The program has been doing their job for several years…it is time for us fans to show up and do our part in supporting their efforts. #gmg

Team leaders and some of the best players in team history graduated. Had some good recruits coming up, but without leadership from fellow players sometimes entitlement sets in. Complacency from coaches might have set in as well. My theory anyways.

Didn’t get specifics on Wilson other than a broken bone. Probably because he hadn’t seen a specialist at the time. Did get specifics on Darden and although concusions are a serious matter, it doesn’t seem to be anything that will have a lasting effect.

Agree with all three, plus cold weather. There are so many activities going on during the Halloween weekend that it spreads everyone out to different events. During the Army game there were at least double the people in the concourse during the game that I’ve seen all season. Lines at the consesion and restrooms were long most of the game.

Wilson has a broken bone in his foot, don’t know which one. Guyton checked out with a mild concussion. He shouldn’t be out long. Wouldn’t think they would need to play him vs. Rice, even if he is cleared.

There is a new culture and attitude forming around our university. Look where we were 2 years ago. Most of our upper classmen this year were on a 1-11 team. #NewDenton is all about changing a stagnant culture around the region, student athletes, recruits and our fan base; guess what...it’s working! Think about it this way, would you rather play for, commit to or be a fan of “a University in North Texas” or “THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS.” Agree that it’s a bold statement, but our school needs to make a bold statement! Out with the status qoue and excuses from the past decade+ and in with THE New Denton and THE University of North Texas. This is in now way meant to disrespect any of the great history of Denton or the great student athletes of the past. I agree, everyone on the board was estatic when the SOW was on the helmets a few years back. The “wings only” is a more modern and cleaner representation of our mascot. Love it and hope it’s used more on the helmets the remainder of the year. #GMG #NewDenton
