  1. "DD should also take a look at that offense as well." I don't know that I would trade UNT's offense for Utah's.
  2. Coach wasn't hired to be a politician. He was hired to compete successfully in the SBC. He does that. Personally, I wish he would keep the comments to himself but I can't really blame him. Some really nasty things were said about Coach Dickey on this board and in the stands. Coach, his family, and his players hear this crap and it does hurt. Every head coach expects criticism. Criticism is appropriate. What's not appropriate are the jackass personal comments and the name-calling. This has been going on since Dickey was hired. I suspect it's getting a bit old. God bless Texas
  3. "And still, I don't think anyone who is a regular poster here, has actually bashed DD, or would be classified as a DD hater." Rudy, you have got to be kidding.
  4. How can any real Texan root for a California team over a Texas team? Heck, I'll even pull for Baylor if they playing a team from out of Texas. God bless Texas!
  5. "a coach with an 8-25 record would have simply been let go.... (he was actually 8-30" Speaking of a double standard. Stebo, you want coach to forget about the bad times and yet you use every opportunity to point out UNT's record during his first 38 games. Maybe after you let by-gones be by-gones coach will too. God bless (North) Texas!
  6. Stebo, It's not as though the nabobs of negativity disappeared all of a sudden. Some people still want to portray Coach Dickey as negatively as possible. God bless (North) Texas!
  7. Some folks revel in their negativity. God bless Texas!
  8. "... it doesn't mean we have to automatically jump to defending them when they could be guilty." Once more with feeling, just because a person 'could' be guilty doesn't mean they are guilty. You're not obligated to jump to their defense but, in all fairness, let's not jump to the conclusion they are guilty of something other than being in a stupid place at a dumb time. God bless Texas!
  9. "I think we're too quick to assume Andrew Smith is completely innocent in all of this." I thought that was exactly what we were supposed to assume?
  10. It always seems like the loser in a one-fer trade is the team that gives up the best player, in this case Finley. Bad trade unless there's someone at # 7 who the Mavs really want. This is a deep draft, so maybe...
  11. Thanks for the info. I'll see your team in Houston. God bless Texas!
  12. Please tell me y'all play somewhere in South Texas this season! God bless Texas!
  13. Good luck to Corina, her team mates, and coaches. The Mean Green faithful are proud of you all. God bless Texas!
  14. If it ain't football, it ain't a sport. God bless Texas!
