  1. Good for Tre. Wish him nothing but the best in his new spot! He could be a very serviceable compliment to Bentley.
  2. It's hard to see 27 and 87 not being on the field a lot. These are two NFL caliber players that we have recruited, and have now developed (thanks to a full offseason) who are ready to be unleashed. We are lucky to have 10 here, especially in this offense as you say. It'll be fun to watch how it shakes out and how these skilled youngsters are used this season!
  3. Excellent points! At RB, I foresee the Adaway / Torrey split similar to what the Cowboys do with Zeke & Pollard. Torrey bouncing from RB to slot WR will be interesting to watch. Although it sounds like we moved Dorian Morris to slot WR this week, and he's an absolute burner (his HS profile from our Roster page is below): High School:• Rated a 3-star recruit by 247Sports, Rivals and 247Sports Composite and a 2-star recruit by ESPN.• Ranked the No. 147 athlete in the nation and the No. 236 recruit in Texas by ESPN.• Ranked the No. 175 cornerback in the nation and the No. 230 recruit in Texas by 247Sports Composite.• Ranked the No. 175 cornerback in the nation and the No. 223 recruit in Texas by 247Sports.• As a senior, played in only six games and had eight solo tackles, six assisted, eight passes defended and one interception.• Also competes in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes, 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relays in high school.• Recorded at 4.45 seconds in the 40-yard dash and 10.69 seconds in the 100-meter dash according to HUDL.• Received offers from SMU, Navy, Louisiana Tech, Houston Baptist, Liberty, Tulane and Texas State.
  4. Good point. We do have to worry about all of this young talent being developed and then picked off by schools via the portal (I personally have my eyes on Oklahoma & Oklahoma State with Jake Roberts and Arkansas with Adaway in a year or two 😐). We have the talent here (and more on the way), and the offensive system to be highly attractive for kids wanting a chance in the NFL. SMU is turning out NFL talent regularly with their highly similar offensive system (and recruiting level), and we will be in a similar situation with Littrell's leadership. Agreed that landing Ruder is a plus for UNT, and it is exciting to see him coming in and providing tremendous competition at the QB position. Scrimmage #2 on Saturday will be very interesting to watch...
  5. Amen to the bolded text! Quality talent with quality depth and a greatly improved defense are huge steps in the right direction.
  6. Wow, nicely done! Include Thompson and Adaway on Offense; Colvin and Whitlock on Defense and you've got it. 😀
  7. Yes, Carroll has been developed and turned into a highly productive player for us at OL.
  8. 9. Absolutely, the twins are destined for a special year. Not only is this the best we have been since 2016 in the trenches, we have the most quality depth by a long shot!
  10. Hall was an excellent asset to the Mean Green during his time here! He and Brooks were both excellent corners (good enough to be All Conference). Seems like a really good kid from Mississippi and its hard not to root for him!
  11. Mose, Brammer, Torrey, Novil, KD & Tyreke Davis
  12. Names, numbers, and classification have been updated. It looks like measurements have not. Can anyone confirm?
  13. Brown Turpin Mose Carroll Brammer Depth: Blair, Cassidy, Duncan, Bond, Moreka TE: Roberts Depth: Pirtle, Alberding, Lyles
  14. Really excited about Pickett and some of the young DL talent. We have some young big-bodies with talent up there!
  15. 1. Gabe Blair 2. Ruder 3. Adaway 4. He will be a rotational contributor 5. Yes (he or Simpson) 6. The Defense 7. It will improve things to the tune of 31ppg and more turnovers created
  16. He's likely going to win him one more State title this season and then ride off into the sunset. Great for him! Texas high school football legend!
  17. This 4 game road stretch with a UCF home game sandwiched in there will be extremely difficult. Right now, my guess would be somewhere between 8-4 and 10-2 for the Mustangs. Mordecai should be as productive as Beuchele, and the defense will be improved under Leavitt.
  18. One would think with the improved level of recruiting in Denton since Luke Walerius came on our football staff, that we would see more quantity and quality of players drafted out of UNT over the next several years.
  19. You could tell when we played at Liberty in 2018 that they had the right ingredients for a top G5 program. We were able to run the ball down their throats in the pouring rain that night, but they had a lot of good looking athletes and outstanding facilities. It was simply a matter of time, and here we are.
  20. Because he's a big bodied kid who can absolutely fly on the stopwatch. The potential is off the charts, and he would really help himself by pulling the game together, and developing some polish & finesse.
  21. No question that we need both Adaway and Davis to be studs this fall! Adaway has a chance to be very special at the RB position, and we have quality depth at that position.
