Will everyone be okay with that, or will they be looking to tar and feather Todd Dodge? Hey, it could happen. Plummer, I've got to disagree on this one. Rick Neuheisel or Jimbo Fisher would be far ahead of a Todd Dodge on my list of candidates if we could land either one of them. Neuheisel or Fisher have coached at high profile programs, with Neuheisel being the top man at a couple of programs. If there is any chance RV could land either of them, he should do it. My order of preference - 1. Rick Neuheisel 2. Jimbo Fisher 3. It's a crap shoot!

Someone enlighten me. What's with the $325,000 NO bowl payout? I thought the minimum was $750,000.

What are the payouts for each team for the New Orleans Bowls ($750,000?) and the Motor City Bowl? The rest of the Sun Belt teams split 50% of each payout?

Thinking back a few years ago, I seem to recall the BSU President almost vowing that their goal was get into the Mountain West Conference. They started by politicing to gain admittance to the WAC after the collapse of the Big West. Now they have arguably one of the most successful non-BCS programs in the country and I have no doubt they will meet their next goal, the MWC. Who knows, they may even make it to the Pac 10. You just have to admire these guys.

Which also implies that facilities may not be all they're cracked up to be. Miami=Big time national program Miami=Big time Florida and National recruiting Miami=National Championship Miami=BCS Miami=Multiple bowl games Miami=Bad facilities And their facilities are not on par with North Texas?

Emmitt, I'm nervous about this hire as anyone. I like the Dodge factor but there are many questions about recruiting that bother me. The glaring one is whether TD can effectively recruit the inner cities of Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, etc. This was brought to my attention by a very respected friend of mine. Many people believe that Dodge will be the recruiting pied piper to Denton. I'm just a little bit nervous.
