  1. I will be there if I can talk the wife into it...
  2. What, we got a new coach??? That's news to me, but then again I don't read the newspaper, watch the news, and I also walk around with my eyes shut...
  3. We do still host a Great American Shootout. It was in july, there are more than one each year.
  4. I think we may have lost on one, but I think we got Thompson over them.
  5. Crazy game. I've seen a few good runs out of Philip Tanner - wish he had come here...
  6. Because we beat them last year...So I think it's kind of silly for Channel 11 to chalk it up in the easy win category for SMU.
  7. I agree. Most people are overeacting. It takes time people. I can't recall any situation where a coach was fired (except for Urban Meyer at FL) and the new coach came in and started winning immediately.
  8. Still better than 7 for 11, great production from their 3rd round investment.
  9. No way he starts over Bell, but I think he will definitely be the backup over White. This will give us a chance to bring along white slowly and allow any previous injuries to heal 100% before pushing him into action. This is a great pickup for the reasons stated above, fills a need and doesn't require a future commitment on our part that may cause us to miss out on a better prospect.
  10. I've watched both preseason games and I don't remeber seeing any flashes from Booker...
  11. I would think the 15.3M would be enough to raise kids...
  12. I wouldn't be suprised if this is true, we were on his original list of schools in Rivals. I guess the thinking is, after his red shirt year we will have three point guard on the roster after Bell graduates. I guess it's almost an insurance policy in case something happens to the other two. I just hope he doesn't start out on scholarship. If he plays well/hard in practice and keeps his nose clean, then I'd have no problem putting him on scholarship for 2008-09 when he is active.
  13. How could you leave off Howerton?? I guess out of the available list, I will go with Thompson. I think if given the minutes he will be the leading scorer, if Thompson is brought along slowly then Dennis will be the leading scorer.
  14. None that I can remeber either. This is better than my expectations even when factoring in the NCAA appearance. I can't wait for next season. Hopefully now that I've graduated I'll still be able to make a majority of the home games.
  15. I think we have two and one of those should be for odufuwa.
  16. Are his grades in order though? If so I'd love to pick him and Odufuwa up!
  17. So looks like a scholly for Odufuwa is open.
  18. I don't think Edwards has officially transferred in the sense that he has not signed on with another team, but I think he has been released from his scholarship. I also hope that is someone leaves it would be Jackson. He has not played much and nothing has changed at his position, he'll still at best the third option off the best at the 4 or 5 spot.
  19. If Sturns is on shcarlarship, then we should have four scholarships available for next years recruiting period. I think the true benefit of the tournament run should be felt next year. Given the amount of quality players that had already commited when we made our tourney run, this years recruiting class has surpassed my expectations.
  20. I hope PT is something that is reall high on his list, because after he sits out there should be plenty of that to go around. The only bigs under scholarship for 2008-09 are Harold Stewart and Justin Howerton. I just don't see Howerton developing into a starter, so the 4 or 5 spot is definitely open.
  21. I think if Odufuwa signs this would definitely be J.J.'s best recruiting class and would signify that he has indeed begun to cash in on the NCAA tourney appearance. The class fills needed positions with quality players. Even though we may be a little overstocked at some positions, the depth we have now is much better than being short handed like the year Jerome Rogers was the only person who was playing point.
  22. I don't see why Ben Bell wouldn't be back. He had a pretty solid year and was a real steady player for this team, I think he will get the bulk of the minutes at point this year. Overall I like the signing. We were going to need to sign another point during next years recruiting class to replace Bell, so the signing was just a year early. I'm excited to see a couple of high school players who look like the could make an impact in the next two years. I am still hoping for a high school big man though.
