This team was at 100% health and ended that game 12-6 (5-1 in conference). I just can’t help but think this team, if Rubin and CJ never go down and we stay in our normal game to game rhythm, is sitting at maybe 3-4 conference losses right now.

Still doesn’t excuse losing to San Antonio Community College at the Pit

I’ll have none of that nonsense!!!
Chandler Morris was 100% never truly committed to North Texas (though there’s zero evidence to back this up), and was 100% headed to Texas State as a way to secure his father’s commitment as a coach (though there’s zero evidence to back this up), and he 100% only stayed committed to North Texas when Texas State got the guy they wanted all along who had been available in the portal for three months (though there’s zero evidence to back this up).

I’m watching Creighton and Marquette right now, and I hope we NEVER schedule them at the Super Pit.
They won’t bring a lot of fans and they’d be using us to recruit DFW hoopers.*
*Shhhh, don’t mention that things like airplanes and social media make it possible to recruit any kid in America from anywhere

No it does not! We’re on our way to losing this one the same way we lost in Denton. Hope I’m wrong.

Start with the most recent game thread and work your way back. While there, tally the “criticism” to the rest of the team & staff.
Have you seen NONE of the Matt Stone posts??!

Dude go away. The team was missing 2 starters for all of conference play. Totally different team with & without - even you would admit that.
Record with full squad: 7-6
Record without full squad: 7-6
A blind man could see the difference!!!
I know you're TRYING to be sarcastic (and reaching for funny)....but let's be honest and admit that the majority of conference losses were against the top teams in the conference without a full squad.*
*Though there will be NO excuse made for losing to San Antonio Community College

Not diminishing what Tylor did, but here’s a thought,
Perhaps we are playing a higher level of competition that exposes some of the weaknesses we had last season, and if we did some of those little things (finish around the bucket, hit our free throws, shoot a CONSISTENT percentage from the floor) we wouldn’t need last second heroics.
Keep in mind, we have lost 6 of the last 8 by a combined 25 points (that’s just over 4 a game). I am pretty certain a healthy current roster playing in rhythm overcomes that deficit more times than not.

We've gone over six minutes without scoring.
I remember mentioning these scoring droughts once…and somebody told me “everybody has them”

Guess we'll find out over the next couple of years when FSU, Clemson, OU, UNC, BYU, TCU, and Notre Dame take over Ford.
Fixed it for you.
And I think it’s so kind of you to let these teams use your stadium for a home game.

Beating North Texas is an accomplishment…beating SMU is something we should be expected to do.

The 5-foot-11 Taylor averaged 26 points per game a year ago to go with 5.6 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 2.4 steals and drew 14 charges. He also shot 81 percent from the free-throw line and has scored 2,404 points in his career. But the one thing he's done throughout his high school career is win. Taylor enters his senior year with an 89-9 career record.
Look at the scores of their games this year.

Any thoughts on team chemistry at that point? The longer he is out, the more the team builds chemistry without him. To reinsert him would not yield expected results. Reminds me of Nolan Smith & Kyrie Irving. Inserted Kyrie (dropped 30 if I remember correctly) and lost in Rd 1. Kyrie goes #1 in the draft and Nolan/Duke win the MNC to following year.
I don’t know about “chemistry”, but I certainly have thoughts on inserting a ball handler and additional scoring option.

We need this game, both to stop the 3 game skid and to get some confidence back heading into a gauntlet of SMU, Memphis and UAB in our next three.

I would bring in ONE of the type of player you describe. Noland, Walker, and Allen do all of the things that are forgotten while guys like Edwards are scoring…the hard nosed defense and energy in the paint (Allen), the big body post up game from the guard position and ability to bring the ball up court (Noland) and the perimeter defense and rebounding (Walker). And Noland averages almost 10 (9.9) a game.
Without those high level role players, you have to hope to outscore people.
