  1. Expecting whoever is our starting QB next fall to be "just as potent" as Rogers was this past season is unrealistic. But it's not unrealistic that he could be part of an offense that wins more games next season than Rogers did.
  2. Okay, so you're basically in agreement with me.
  3. Any coaches over the past 40 years whose tenures you want to say were successes?
  4. Not sure if he had a real shot at an NFL career, but he had a great career at UTSA. Wish him the best going forward.
  5. Dodge never had 3 bodybag games in a season. Unless you want to say that he made games against teams like Rice into bodybag games, kind of like Dickey did with Tulsa. Regardless, my point was not to address all the different external factors that the different coaches have had to deal with. Regardless of what contributed to make his tenure the winningest of any coach the past 40+ years, it was.
  6. It's been years since 3-4 bodybag games has been our norm. Not since the early Dickey years. And it seemed Dickey had better years WITH the bodybag games than without them.
  7. If anything, I was shocked when he turned OU down last time around.
  8. Strange. He was the 4th leading receiver and I would imagine a lock to start again at Baylor next year.
  9. That's not at all what I asked. The guy's already committed to Cal. What makes you think he's coming back?
  10. Happy New Year, Mean Green Nation!
  11. Florida State beat the snot out of the other SEC team they played. Conference affiliation is not the real issue here, except in the sense that it kept them out of the playoff.
  12. I think you're entirely missing my point. If you want to say Dickey had the better coaching tenure, fine. So a coach with a 0.396 winning percentage represents our ceiling. Either way, it's clear to those who have followed North Texas for any time that our ceiling is not very high, despite what we might want it to be or believe it can be.
  13. You're cherry-picking. Yes, Darrell Dickey's best year was better than Littrell's best year. But for overall tenure, Littrell still had the higher win percentage.
  14. I wasn't pointing out Littrell's ceiling, I was pointing out our ceiling, and it's a simple fact. And (1) yes, there are plenty of programs who would be thrilled to exchange what they had from the 2016-2022 seasons with what we had, (2) the other programs don't historically suck as bad as we have the last 40+ years.
  15. Seth Littrell has the best winning percentage of any coach since the Hayden Fry era. We may feel like he underachieved, but apparently his tenure represents our ceiling.
  16. Who considers the ACC a "power" conference while leaving out the Big XII? It sounds like SMOO is still carrying that "woman scorned" attitude.
  17. Yeah, some things really shouldn't need labels.
  18. Sorry to hear the news. I'll be praying for Alex's family.
