  1. Thank you for the info. This is good news...with my kids moving into sports age, it will still be tough, but I would be much more willing to give it a go if I am not dealing with some people that can't figure out how to finish their part corporate gift matching... sad thing is, I don't even had gift matching anymore as I have moved on to new employment. I'm just still pissed at the lack of understanding that they f'ed it up, I found the solution after trying for 15 minutes, and then I was told that I had the option to buy tickets that year if I paid for their mistake. Nitardy was the one who offered me the "deal".
  2. I highly doubt norm would do anything unt on his show. I've emailed him on unt football in the past, and he has not been very positive in his responses. He does respond every time. I doubt he would spend any air time on our alma mater though... unless we had some sort of undefeated season going...even then, he'd emphasize the "mutts" that we were playing etc...
  3. Breaking news, my fat ars will be watching the UNC v Clemson game. I bet that is the final thing that sways Littrell to coach at U of NT. I don't know if this has been posted....but meh Recruiting recruiting recruiting: http://247sports.com/Coach/Seth-Littrell-161/AllTimeRecruits
  4. Doubt he breaks any news... I predict he will talk about how awesome these 2 known candidates are and how it impacts tcu more than unt. But I always love it when Georgy talks unt... even thought he constantly gets kicked in the crotch because of it. man, I haven't posted on here in a long long time. Can't stand the negativity or the inept ticket office. Hopefully sunnier days are ahead...I'm gonna go back into hibernation again. After they have a new coach, will they clean house on the ticket office? I would really like to start another decent streak as a season ticket owner that was broken 2 years ago...
  5. If the ticket office didn't f up my gift matching 3 years in a row and then expect me to pay for their error in year 3, i would still be a season ticket holder...
  6. Decent selection at rally house allen. My 4 year old son said, very loudly btw, "mean green!!! Next to the yucky horseys!!!!"
  7. Watched this stupid top 25 show... sure seems like in past years a non p5 school that was undefeated was ranked in the past, regardless of schedule. I am becoming less and less of a fan of college football. With our stupid ticket office motivating me to drop my season tickets for the first time in 10 years, I am the least interested in college football I have been in my entire life.

  9. Maryland needs to run the freaking ball and burn the clock
  10. George asked him about dajon, and he did say they knew there was talent there. He just needed to show more consistency. After that, it was some typical coach speak about correcting mistakes etc... not much he could have said really. This game was lost by 3 and outs. The d would have done better if they weren't on the field the entire first half. Special teams could have been better, but we all know where this one went wrong...
  11. I am not a season ticket holder for the first time in 10 years because the mean green club people can not seem to do some basic things to make my corp gift matching work, can not admit they screwed up, and finally they wanted me to pay because they screwed up. I would have missed the smu game due to coaching my kids in sports, but if not for the mean green club's incompetence, I would have been there last night to see a dissappointing loss. Honestly, team performance did not dictate my attendance in the past, and it would not in the future. I was there, in most cases, no matter what. My kids are entering a busy time in their lives and they do take priority when there is a conflict. I will have to get over the mean green club's incompetence to get season tickets starting next year again. I will come to some of the more easy to attend games the rest of the way this year. The games being on tv and not during convenient times are the likely the drivers for the poor alumni attendance in the first 2 home games.
  12. Wave to section 30. Me in black unt shirt, wife and 2 kids in green
  13. Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes I happen to like the power run game offense. DT did the job when he needed to. Chico and Mac put him in positions to succeed and more often than not, they did what they needed to last season... the whole offense and the whole defense... At this point, I have total faith that Chico and Mac will adjust the gameplan to whatever needs to happen. Run it and run it and run it and run it ....(norm style).... play action pass... spread 'em out....go fast...go slow.... Whatever. Dude, last season was a thing of beauty. It seemed like they did a little bit of everything based on situation and what was working. if we can do anything close to what happened last year, I'll be a happy man. I think I just got football wood just thinking about it... Do what is necessary, but an offense that can impose their will by running it down the oppositions throats is demorializing to a defense... Next year, if they excel at a "spread run" or "spread throw" or traditional pro-style offense... whatever...bubble screens? slip screens.... qb draws for 5 yards a carry? read option...traditional wishbone option... whatever dude.....whatever.... just win baby. I "think" talent level appears to be going up...but really, we'll see. experience level might be down going into this year, but we'll see... I do not see anything to complain about at this point.... Open competition is open compettion. One thing I can guarantee with all the positions up for grabs, I feel confident the person who SHOULD be playing WILL be playing.... you guys root for whomever you want to...seems like wasted energy to me. It will be fun to see what happens at the spring game...after that, hope for no injuries and a healthy squad come fall....
  14. Why would people give untjim1995 negative votes on this post? That doesn't make any sense. I don't like them either(mostly because of them message board bombing us...even though alot of it was mutual attack), but the truth is, this is very accurate. They have done a great job starting a program from scratch. That said, I hope we beat them by 35 next season down at the Alamo. Now that Davy Crockett is no longer on that team, I wonder how well they will do. I guess we'll see. All I know is we better show up with the kind of attitude they brought to apogee last season. Still enfuriates me that our guys were outplayed for the vast majority of that game. It was one of the bigger let downs that I have experienced in an otherwise amazing season. I can't imagine that Larry Coker hasn't gotten a big big pay raise yet from them. I bet that is in the works..and I don't follow them closely enough to know if that has already happened or what...
  15. Analysis of SMU's football schedule for 2014, by SHOSS: don't care loss in Denton don't care...
  16. He is officially, unofficially a grayshirt. Does anybody look at Chumley's dimensions and 40 time and think "badass DE"? Just a thought. Anyways, welcome to the mean green family even if it is delayed just a bit.
  17. DT, You were the captain of the ship that delivered the most surprisingly positive season of my UNT sports fandom. Dude, I wish you all the luck in the world. We doubted you, and you delivered. The cherry on top was gutting out a dominating second half of football to close out your UNT career. I think you might have been the straw that stirred the drink that got the mean green faithful intoxicated to the point of actually...well, waking up the sleeping giant. Time will tell, but, man, go and give it your all. I will be a fan of yours if you play in the nfl, nfl Europe, Canadian football, or a coach anywhere. Thank you and good luck man.
  18. 1. The defense. No question, this group was faaaaar and away better overall than I was expecting. 2. Adjustments in the 2nd half. The team played so much better in the second half in just about every game. and for some reason, it surprised me each time it happened. The gift that kept on giving each game. Big comebacks, and shutting the door in a close or tied game at the half. That is offense and defense. 3. Special teams blocking kicks. The return game, I was kind of expecting with Brelan and Harris/Jones, but when have we blocked this many kicks in the past? I don't have any idea.
  19. So, have we ever been so close to being done with recruiting right after New Years? I should probably defer to those that have followed recruiting longer than me... I have really followed recruiting for the past... About 8 years or so... Anyways, I guess there are a few d line prospects we are looking at, but is this a bit strange to anybody else? Good difference, but it is kind of weird because I guess I am not used to this...
  20. yeah, if he follows through with choosing the from one of the first schools....over some others coming in last minute like Texas, or Oklahoma...or some SEC schools.... that would be a statement. I guess we'll see. how many spots do we have left? is it 1 or 2?
  21. can I ask for a washington for my birthday? I'll take the gift a bit late.... and a large dt to go along with him? hmmmm, wonder if that sounds weird.... oh well go mean green. oh yeah...and thank you harry...preciate-ya pall....
