If DD was our coach now, would Diet Coke boy be replaced by Coke Zero boy?

It doesn't hurt that Rice is adjacent to the Medical Center.

For those who want to support both men and women, take a road trip to Houston for the women at Rice on Saturday, 3/2, and the men on Sunday, 3/3!
Not a road trip for those of us who live down here!

The Alumni Pavilion is ridiculously insufficient for a typical good turnout for a home game which is about 70% of capacity. And considering we don't have a lot of fans that are ineligible to apply for alumni membership coming to games the 150 person capacity is shickingly small. I estimated the capacity as 300-500 before looking this up.
The Alumni Pavilion needs to be more than doubled in size.
- Bathrooms with 5 person capacity
- Full Kitchen comparable to a restaurant with 250 person capacity
- 8 to 12 TVs
- 5,000 square feet minimum with over 1,000 patio space
I believe we should have a watch party fund raiser for a big away game at the alumni pavilion. "Free" barbecue with valid alumni association membership and $5 donation to the Alumni Pavilion expansion fund. Get Rudy's and/or Metzler's supply the food. Kid's bounce house and play area outside. Also have food trucks outside selling alternatives to barbecue (or whoever is catering the food inside the Pavilion). Free Door prizes and a paid raffle for Club Seats and parking for the remainder of the season (5 home games minimally).

What do you think? Is the Alumni Pavilion sufficient right now? How much money could this raise? Would it significantly increase Alumni Association membership? A full kitchen also could provide an opportunity for hospitality management students getting a Food Studies Certificate a lab and a real world lab on game days and special events.
I remember being told back when the stadium was being built that the pavilion was intended for the Letterman's association, but they declined, so it was offered to the alumni association. If that's true, then there wouldn't have been anything built for the alumni at all.

I remember before that you just flashed your ID.
"Before that", IDs didn't have a magnetic strip or barcode that could be scanned. 😉

I just hope that someone is thinking about the fact that if it’s the credit union, we will have daTCU stadium.
Having the name of another local school in the name of the stadium is asinine. People are going to hear “the TCU stadium.”
I've been thinking about that...
I've never heard anyone say that UH plays in tdECU stadium, but ECU is nowhere near UH, while TCU is just down 35W from NT.

What was Booger Kennedy's height & weight? I think he was under 6'.
I'm not making any comparison otherwise...

How about a bowling tournament too? That meets the "indoor" requirement, and goes well with beer drinking. 😉
Truth in advertising: I'm neither a golfer or a bowler, and I don't drink much beer...

Love this Fouts' photo pre-Super Pit/Gateway Center with the old University President's home in the background.
How did they ever get students to come to football games? It was so far away from the dorms. 😉

Dr Cook is still around.
This is why I thought he was gone already:
I would have expected a replacement to have been chosen by now.

I wonder whether the fact that a new Green Brigade director hasn't been named was a factor in not getting a pep band to Las Vegas. The Green Brigade website still names Daniel Cook as the director. 😞

If high school kids are going to sign contracts, then the parents/guardians are going to need to co-sign to be able to enforce them.
