  1. I also noticed Michael Lawerence the freshman receiver from Sweetwater is now on the roster.
  2. Someone should make a North Texas battle flag polo/ button down. I would wear that to a game.
  3. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/17115091/big-12-football-coaches-favor-houston-cougars-byu-cougars-expansion-espn-poll-shows B12's short list according to ESPN1.) BYU2.) UH3.) CINCY & Memphis4.) Colorado State & UCF
  4. Go into Denton and surrounding suburbs to promote the program. Put up schedules at various places. Air commercials on the ticket, and random TV stations. Send a buy one get one free or half off voucher in the UNT alumni magazine.
  5. That could have been the logic, but it was painful watching his defense last year. I can't help but bash his coaching style. Not too mention he was the defensive coordinator of the Kansas State team that we scored 41 points on. I think Lance rushed for almost 300 yards that game.
  6. Who lines corner up 10 yards off the ball, and doesn't blitz the qb? Chris Cosh.....
  7. We need to have gomeangreen fight night. Similar to what the ticket does.
  8. I'm famous, I was quoted in the Denton Record Chronicle. On a side note, it's probably a good thing he didn't put my exact words in the paper. Cussing/ bashing the Athletic Department, Athletic Director, Dan McCarney and Mean Green Club wouldn't be the best press.
  9. Let's blame it on the fans for bad attendance. If you actually scheduled anyone worth a damn, you might be able to draw in new fans. Obviously winning will help with attendance, but scheduling of teams should be high on that list. Hank is a nice guy, but he shouldn't be AD. The president needs to clean house and move forward.
  10. Dickenson plays a key role in scheduling and says UNT is in a tough spot. “I would love to see some bigger-name opponents coming in here, but it’s going to take more people coming to games on a regular basis to makes those things happen,” Dickenson said.
  11. I bet a few of the JUCO guys are still slated to be here. It's probably just a timing issue due to transferring here. I am sure a couple didnt qualify. This happens every year.
  12. STD if it's not burning, you're not working hard enough.
  13. He said all of the coaches have played or coached in the air raid system. He kind of laughed when talking about the players transition. They have bought in, but there have been some challenges. It's more of a mind set thing, not a talent issue. Sounded like he was glad to leave Washington State, but liked coaching with Leach. Spoke highly about Littrell's vision. Talked about Alec Morris' leadership. He said Mason Fine has been looking great this summer. Also spoke highly of Quinn Shanbour. Mentioned that 7 on 7 has helped receivers and qbs transition in the spread. Jake made a joke about the Denton Ryan/ Ennis rivalry from his high school days. Teachers and coaches give him a hard time when he is recruiting there. On a side note, needed to listen to this interview today. Made me excited for the upcoming football season, and forget why I am not working downtown today.
  14. One thing that will help the defense out the most next year is that Cosh wont be around. I think we were the only team in college football that lined the corners 10 yards back from the line of scrimmage.
  15. I listen to the musers every morning, but I do not agree with George. We need a change in the athletic department. Nepotism is not going to move the athletic department forward. We need a fresh set of eyes that will think outside of the box, and create solutions for these reoccuring problems. Out with the old, and in with the new.
  16. AC guy is coming by tonight, so I wont be able to make it. However, I did speak to Brett Vito last week about why I renewed my season tickets for the first time in a few years. I was completely honest, and I hope the athletic department reads it.
  17. Not counting him out yet. I want Fine to be successful here, I think he is going to be a project. I am also a little biased to Pearson because he is from East Texas. The competition he has faced will help him adapt to the college game a little quicker.
  18. I watched 4 plays, and was sold. I didn't need to watch anymore of it. I think he will be our qb in 2018.
