  1. i thought she worked at Washington State not UW. and with there enrollement they make alot of money or out of state people bc they only have a 67% in state popoulaiton. which im from that area and msot of my friends are going there and say that there enrollement is too big. another contribution to the high level of enrollement for UW is the lack of universities in the state. BUT to what this post was about, i think that having the President taking these trips are great for the UNiversity and hoepfully will bring more donors to the school in all areas not just athletics
  2. i think this is right that the players wanted to wear a black jersey if they had talked about it at the start of the season, but they probably assumed that they would have been like the green and white ones, instead they got the crap plain black that has pissed everyone off
  3. could these people not be contacted because RV has already decided who to hire but has to wait the 30 days and after the BOR meeting today?
  4. who is this guy who has the "reliable source"?
  5. this is a name that i hadnt heard but looks like a really good canidate
  6. i have seen Ryan Anderson play alot in high school, and last year while watching him play in the state tournament he was really easy to get off his game. when he wasnt getting what he wanted he would pout and be off his game, i hope we can get some defensive pressure on him so we can get him off his game
  7. he could be right about the donation from Mark Cuban, he sure has alot of money and said he liked the experience up here so why not
  8. yea the attendence last night was pretty bad, that was my first game so im hoping the rest wont be like that, and scrappy was there but that was one of the worst jobs as a scrappy anyone could have done
  9. this looks really good, with one of them considering large schools out of the state and signed with us, very good signings for volleyball
  10. what DD told his players is terrible, that is not something a coach should say, im glad to see him go and maybe we can add a coach who knows the vertical offense
  11. i thought i heard that we might be getting baseball in 2007 or 2008 but not 100% on that, i hope its soon since any sport should help with every aspect of the school
  12. yea im excited for this basketball season also, i didnt make it to the exhibition but for sure am going tomorrow night, and where do the stuednts sit you were talking about, ive seen those talons at the football games and it is terrible if that is supposed to be our schools "spirit squad"
  13. is there anyway that Mean Jow Green would help in recruiting at all? and would he even be willing to do this?
  14. i wasnt able to make the scrimmage game tonight but from what im hearing about the team it seems like we have a good chance this year.
  15. i was just wondering if Dr. Phil or some of the Ealges singers have ever donated any money to the University?
  16. that list shows how bad we need new coaches who can recruit, how can we only be on one list and have no commits. washington state and wyoming are on more lists then we are
  17. according to the dallas morning news we got a commit from abilene cooper lineman Taylor Insall but thats all i could read about it
  18. Anyone know if we are recruiting this guy or not? Euless Trinity DE Yenga quite a catch for local college Euless Trinity senior DE Youri Yenga has emerged as one of the area's top defensive players this season. Yenga seems to lead Trinity in tackles and big defensive plays every game. Trinity coach Steve Lineweaver said Yenga's big season has put him on the radar of college recruiters. Lineweaver said, however, that Yenga is looking to sign with a local college, such as North Texas, SMU or TCU. Yenga would be quite a catch for one of the local schools. He came to Trinity as a sophomore and football was new to him and he's come a long way in three seasons. Yenga has a lot of up-side to him. He'll need to fill out -- he's a 'tweener at 6-1, 210 -- but he's a heck of a tackler. Lineweaver said Yenga needs to stay close to home "because he's the dad of the family." Lineweaver said Yenga's father still lives in Africa and Yenga helps take care of his mother and sister. His sister just recently moved to the U.S. Lineweaver said Yenga really came on last season in the playoffs as Trinity went on to win the Class 5A Division I title. Lineweaver said he was even better last spring. "We couldn't block him in practice," Lineweaver said. And that's saying a lot considering the size and talent of Trinity's offensive line.
  19. have we had any players already commit in this recruiting class yet?
