  1. I am a UNT student doing an internship for the McKinney Marshals Baseball team this summer. Just wanted to let everyone know that you should come out this Friday July 16th for a great night of College baseball and our first $1 beer night. We are located at the ballfields of Craig Ranch. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask and hope to see many Mean Green Fans out this friday
  2. This is a great explanation and if anyone is interested please email me at kylelwise@tclmarshals.com as soon as possible.
  3. First off i understand that this is not the best place for this topic but i needed it to get to an area that gets the most traffic. I am a current UNT student working with the McKinney Marshals of the Texas Collegiate League which is a baseball league for players around the country. We are looking for families to host some more of our players. Below i will post a link to the benefits of hosting a player. I also think it would be a great way to show players from the country how great the Mean Green nation is and show them some North Texas hospitality. thank you for your time and moderators i hope that you will keep this message up for atleast two days to help me get the word out. http://tclmarshals.com.ismmedia.com/ISM3/std-content/repos/Top/Splash%20Page/HOST%20FAMILIES%20WANTED.pdf
  4. Still working out the details for a possible mean green night. And to answer the question yes there is beer and margaritas sold at the games played in McKinney. ALSO IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED OR KNOWS SOMEONE WHO WOULD LIKE TO HOST A PLAYER FOR THE SUMMER PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR A FEW HOMES FOR A COUPLE MORE PLAYERS. BELOW IS A LINK TO THE BENEFITS THAT WILL BE GIVEN TO THE HOST FAMILIES: http://tclmarshals.com.ismmedia.com/ISM3/std-content/repos/Top/Splash%20Page/HOST%20FAMILIES%20WANTED.pdf
  5. Hi, my name is Kyle Wise and i am a student at UNT who is interning this summer to earn my degree. I am interning with the McKinney Marshals and North Texas Copperheads of the TCL. We are looking for more host families for the players, we are looking for families in the general area of McKinney that would want to house a college baseball player through the summer. If you think you would be interested just send me a message on here. I also im looking to sell some ticket packages for the teams. I will have a link at the end of this message that shows the ticket packages and prices. I am also thinking about pitching the idea of holding a Mean Green night where it would be possible to get half price tickets for wearing UNT gear, if anyone would be interested i would like to know that i would have some support for it before pitching the idea. Thank you for your time. If there are any questions feel free to ask. www.tclcopperheads.com www.tclmarshals.com
  6. Tavern had the game on about half of their tv's and the crowd was small at the start of the game but towards the end the crowd got much better and were loud at the end of the game.....also they had their windows painted with mean green...nice to see but they deff needed more then one bartender for the first half of the game

  8. just wanted to let everyone know that it looks like we have hired our new strength coach and he seems like a good one, here is a youtube clip i found about him talking about the new job http://www.coachsark.com/blog/2009/06/goodbye-charr
  9. I have a feeling that it could eventually, look at Boise State they are able to host a bowl game every year and i know Denton is more attractive area then anywhere in Idaho. One of those bowls that are around us could move up here or with all the additions of bowl games that seem to happen every year you never know we could get one eventually but nothing in the near future
  10. i have a class with drake and from what ive seen he seemed fine to me, but i did hear him talking with some other players that he is not able to run yet but can jog
  11. i dont want to turn this post into another stadium talk or get anyone talking about politcal beliefs or if they like Bush or not but this statement got me thinking: Nobody seems to remember those heroic elements. This was apparent last winter when Riley and his family, in an Oval Office visit arranged by a family friend who works in the White House, were greeted by President Bush, who said, "So, you must be the guy who threw up!" Could Dodge use his connections with President Bush to help raise money for the new stadium? He has alot of money and now knows about the Dodge's and the family and wonder if he would be willing to give anything or if Dodge has thought about it?
  12. i have heard that steve spurrier votes for Duke every year because that is where he got his start and wants to show his respect or something like that
  13. i just checked rivals to see UT commitments and they have already taken Riley off for their list, its great to see it happen so soon and great to hear that he will be at UNT, i really dont believe we will have to worry about him decommiting from us(atleast i really hope we dont), and also could this also open up the chance of Tre Newton following Riley and joining him at UNT? Another thing we have to think about is how great it will look for other recruits to see one of the best QB's in the state coming to mean green country! It will only help in recruiting which is why im so happy the announcement has come so soon
  14. 2nd ranked High School punter in nation by Kicking.Com i think its great we can get a player with this high a ranking, even thought he is a punter, punters can be very influencial in the game with good punts meaning better field position, with already having a great punter on the team he has a chance to red shirt
  15. i sure hope it is a 6:00 game because sadly i have to fly home to washington for my brothers wedding and will miss this game if its not national
  16. its great to see another recruit announced, and ther perfect score on the SAT is now 2400
  17. dam these stadiums look great, i cant wait to buy this game on the day it comes out for the 6th straight year now
  18. really this is not a stupid thread, with it being the offseason we need stuff to talk about and i dont get how making alist of all the improvements for Denton that will be completed by 2009 is a bad post?
  19. i have thought about getting a sports management degree but havent found alot of information about the program at UNT and was wondering if anyone here has earned this degree already or has any information that could help me out. Thanks in advance
  20. yea i was going to say you have to take into account the fact of the sun belt only having 8 teams. Another thing is that with the league still young and once we add some more teams in the league it will def get alot better. You can already see it in the recruiting this past season for each team
  21. yea im a freshman this year at UNT and from just north of Seattle, when i went home this past winter break i wore my NT gear alot and had a couple people stop me and say they either graduated from their or had family going there presently
  22. yea it looks great now and the last week they made alot of progress, it really is amazing how fast they can do it when they want to. and just wondering but why is it called the "mall" area?
  23. yea i think our dancers were great this year, and proud to say ive been able to party with a few of them
  24. watching the game last night i couldnt think about anything besides how much this win would be for the school. Not only is it great to get into the big dance but think about how much pub we can get from it. Now when JJ goes to recruit he can mention that we are in the NCAA tourny and how he wants that player to come in and briing us to the next level. And for anyone who doesnt think a win like this caan do huge things look at Gonzaga. I lived in Washington the past 14 years so i know all about their rise from nothing to dominating the WCC every year. This could easily be the start to that magic
