I'm big believer in going "with your gut" in many situations. At best, I'd MAYBE let Bean go on the very first series, and if he doesnt show that "sense of urgency" or "attack mode", to me thats the writing on the wall, and I'd pull him. I just dont get the feeling of "leadership/intensity"..... Maybe it's been discussed before...But the guy is crazy fast, athletic and tall. Have they considered converting him to a receiver?

My thoughts.... a. Driving to Denton, I saw this billboard, and it of course- steamed me pretty bad.. b. After the game - I had to laugh...Well done SMU. I hate to admit it, but we TOTALLY deserved that. But something to to chew on....Many of us on have heard for years, have heard how "SMU doesn't consider us a real team (I know I know, don't leave, read all of this...) and that this game means nothing to them, and in NO WAY do THEY consider it important or a Rivalry....", right? Look at both images again.....CLEARLY,UNDENIABLY, they do...And, they're winning it, easily... We got 4 more years in this series I think? If nothing else, this is a battle for recruiting, and maybe to a lesser extent, Billboard Shaming. So the AD needs to think hard about the next 4 years....This game, aside from the "rivalry", is a pretty close second to winning the conference. To win this game means you might just convince that one 3-4 star kid that's on the fence about a final decision. If we're gonna play them, we need to know we can beat them, or for petes sake, at least be competitive with them....If we're gonna go through 4 more years of what happened Saturday, drop the series...It was like we were playing Ohio State or Notre Dame... And you can now bet your ass, thinking about if we win next year, I'm already scoping out Billboards on Central Expressway close to SMU. I'll chip in...

And GH. And a dedicated stand alone OC. Oh and a QB coach. But other than that, it outta work out, right?

To be clear....Home Teams dont wear dark by default....Home team gets to DECIDE between light and dark. Think maybe UNT decided (likely some time ago...) to wear whites for the first few home games because it's cooler to wear than the darks.

Thing is, it's about perception when it comes to recruiting. When UNT signed this deal a few years back, to play each other for the next 8-10 years, we really should've seen the long term recruiting investment before. us. If we're going to play them that many times, at the very least, we need to win at least half of them. Recruits will take notice when hearing/reading something that says UNT has won 6 outta the last 10 meetings with SMU".....But...if you fall flat....well...

Hopefully I'm overlooking something....But I'm one of those that had pre-purchased season Tix back like in June....2 Tix, Donation and you get a parking pass, etc. So COVID stuff hits and we have to go through this new deal to get in line to re-purchase tix. I actually called the office and did it over the phone....Was told we'll get Tix via email (which I did, see below....) And I specifically asked about the parking pass...Girl on the phone said it will be included in your tix we email you....But, I didnt get anything??????? Did this happen to anyone else? Am I supposed to go another route to get my pass that was to be included with my email Tix?

There was a post few weeks back....Think it said something like CUSA is enforcing bascially that all non-immediate team related personnel can be on the field. I assume GB will be there, but just in the stands only.

mine wasnt all that smooth...it kept taking me to a payment window (which i've already paid for the tix previously, of course..) So who knows, I was likely doing something wrong. I just picked up the phone and called the ticket office. A girl answered and just ran through it for me while on the phone, done.... I didnt get my original seats I had last year, but I figure with a percentage of no-shows, people are gonna just move around to get better views as long as they dont get too close to each other.

I always have to laugh when people turn their noses up at schools like SFA coming to play us...Really? Lets win a couple of bowl games back to back (and possibly, to back) before we starting turning into "we're better than that..." I've gone to see SFA play at SMU a few times over the past 10 years. It's a small school, but they bring a respectable crowd and their band. They DAMN sure brought more fans to an SMU game than SMU ever brought to Apogee... So I say unless we're on the uptick of a power streak, at the very least, lets make it an enjoyable experience of a Saturday, help fill the seats, even if its the other teams fans....And I absolutely LOVE any time another school brings their band. Seriously, I dont know what it is, but that always makes me smile. You'll always hear someone say (including myself...) "oh cool, they brought their band!"
