  1. I wonder what the support was like at UCF before their run? the 0-12 year...etc?
  2. So I'm curious what the real expectation is. For $1 million+ per year more than any other G5, you have to have UCF level success or bust. He can't lose a game? I get next year's transition...but in year 3 he can't do anything less than undefeated right? For $4 mil a year wouldn't anything less be a disappointment? The bar is Tom Herman/Scott Frost? *Edit* Looking at the 2021 schedule which would be year 3, UH OOC schedule is set up perfectly. Home vs Boise and TTech and on the road at Vanderbilt. If UH runs the table that year (assuming Boise doesn't go 6-6 and TTech and Vandy are good) that would be the year that UH could crash the party. But you have to go 12-0 that year.
  3. If all you have to do is pay a HC $4 mil a year to get in the big 12, seems that would be pretty easy....
  4. Hey dude....take your victory lap. I said in a few posts later that I didn't know the back story. On the surface this looks like a ridiculous scenario. But great hire. I'm sure the UH fan board is excited but I've never been on your message board. Not real sure why you camp out over here so much.
  5. Well....more articles out saying Holgerson may be for real. I didn't know the back story.....(I didn't know anyone "loved" Houston but I guess he does) I still say that would be a stretch to get him to leave a Big 12 school to go to a G5 but if he hates it at WVU and that relationship is souring...then maybe it will happen. What a get for UH if it's true.
  6. Boise has done it consistently but quietly. UCF has been phenomenal on the field but jumps up and down and throws a tantrum. Houston has had some on field success. But shows desperation and seems to give coaches 1-2 years to go undefeated or they get fired. Three different methods. Same result. P5 does not want you.
  7. I thought it was a joke. Yikes how embarrassing to be that delusional But seriously, why would UH settle for Holgerson? Why not go get Lincoln Riley or Nick Saban or Dabo Sweeny?
  8. This will be the best D Littrell has faced since maybe Florida? They beat some really talented teams this year. USC, Washington (Pac 12 champs), Colorado....nearly beat Washington St on the road (held Leach's offense to 19 points) Cal is a good team on the rise. We will be double digit underdogs.
  9. Boy they are delusional.... One of them suggested Dana Holgerson. Just call him up and get him to leave WVU for UH Wow
  10. Hate to lose him but I imagine he’s thrilled to be going back. Loved the way he led our players. He has a bright future ahead of him. As for a replacement.....I would LOVE to have Patrick Cobbs back.
  11. so the indoor practice facility will be ready for next season? scheduled completion is July 2019 Are they on schedule?
  12. We're losing our 2 starting Corners This could really help
  13. We did struggle. But I don't put it all on the RB. Just a little creativity in the play calling would've helped... And Torrey may not run over people but he made adjustments when there was no were to run. Look at his TD in the Bowl game. That was all him...
  14. I guess we aren't.... I'll agree with the O Line but once Easly went out....I don't think people realize what Torrey did. UTEP 70 yards on 19 carries USM 95 yards on 17 carries 3 TDs UAB 35 yards on 13 carries Then the last 3rd of the season he was phenominal averaging over 7.5 yards per carry and scoring 7 TDs Rice 130 yards on 15 CARRIES 3 TDs ODU 145 yards on 25 carries 2 TDs FAU 184 yards on 17 CARRIES 1 TD UTSA 155 yards on 24 carries 1 TD We don't desperately need a running back...we need to give the one we have the ball more...
