Wait... I think we're buying the lead... Texas motor speedway had season tickets? What does that get you into?

A buddy and I had them for two decades or so.  You got the same tickets to the Cup, Busch, Truck, and Indycar races.  For a while it was a good deal, then TMS started offering extremely low cost tickets just before the races that weren't too much worse than ours.  So why spend $$$$ per seat for season tickets when you could just cherry pick the races you wanted to see for $?

It was even worse for some, for some seats there are also PSL charges.

You can still buy season tickets there:  https://www.texasmotorspeedway.com/events/season-tickets/

  2. Just venting:  Ticket office just sent an email offering "premium sideline" and "premium midfield" for the same price I bought my endzone tickets for when they first went on sale.  Way to incentivize early engagement, management.

The same type of behaviour made buying season tickets at Texas Motor Speedway uneconomical, and surprise, those ticket sales dropped.

  3. "You will receive an email with links to access your tickets closer to
the event. Fans will utilize their mobile phones to access their
tickets and enter the venue on game day. Detailed instructions will be
    provided in future emails."

Under 10 days out, and no further information.  Is this normal for UNT athletics?  I honestly don't know the process, so that's why I'm asking.

Oregon State has come along way from those horrible teams of the 70's, 80's and 90's.  They were the one major program that the 1AA guys really had a chance to beat up on.

Correct me if I am wrong. But, I think we beat Oregon State the first year we moved up from 1AA (mid 90's).  We were terrible, but they were worse. I remember the game at Fouts.

    30-27 UNT over OSU.  September 16, 1995.

They went 1-10, worse than our 2-9.

The fun thing about that year?  UNT had a local TV broadcast deal, with every away game on OTA.

Dis these people just take the name and start something new?  Cause I tried some at Eastside and it didn’t taste anything like the original, in my opinion.  Plus the Tomato was all about the ambience.

It's the kid of the owner of the original Flying Tomato.  And in my personal opinion, the baby stuffed is exactly the same as it was back in the 80s.

Why let them in? If the 14 AAC institutions band together and stay pat while not letting them in they will squirm. At this point, weeks into this thing, let them.

I would agree with this, if the result is the teams joining the AAC.  But there is value in the name PAC, and that gives the 4 teams a bit of leverage.  UNT should jump at the change to join a P5 conference, even if there is a huge * behind that conference name.
