Thank you announcers for those inspiring statistics.

I'm pleasantly surprised so far. But all true North Texas fans know that disaster lies in the 2nd half 🙂

Oh man, UTSA is going to light us up so badly.

So . . . are we sure we want Army in the AAC?

Huh. That almost never works.

I realize right now that everyone expects the Mean Green to get rolled by LaTech.
But suppose the team does well, and pulls out a win. The next week is a bye, and then ACU.
Does a win in Ruston significantly appease the FIRE MORRIS crowd? Would a win the next game, and a 2-2 record do it?
What say you?

No, because people show up to the Giants games.

It was just so generic. The exact same ad could be run for any number of universities and community colleges.

I'd love to be wrong.
I got hate for this. Turns out I was off, but not by much.
Why does NT football -always- have to be terrible? It's been this way, with brief exceptions, since I started at the school in the late 80s.

At least we're saving energy by not having to light the tower.

I'm starting to think that some of the predictions in the score thread were too optimistic.

On a positive note, the triple-interception series might make SportsCenter

A better runner than QB?

It's all nostalgia for the SWC, when SMU gained legitimacy simply by being in the same conference as A&M and Texas. For some reason, 40 years of nothing doesn't impact that school as badly as it does ours.

Building our players won't work in the world of NIL and transfers. If our guys get good, they'll get recruited away.
That leaves transfers. Colorado and Texas State just proved the case.

Eric morris is not Deion sanders. Deion is a very, very unique coach.
I like many am more concerned about our general lack of competitiveness when we’re playing on national tv. When’s the last time we had a good showing to a national audience?
Arkansas, 2018.

Well . . .
Other than the offensive line, defensive line, passing game, running game, and special teams we looked pretty good.
The facilities are great, and I especially like having my choice of seats in the second half. That's a North Texas tradition we should keep.

Did Washington State and Oregon State pop to the top of mind when folks mentioned the PAC? Not really -- they're in the same spot Rice or SMU was back in the SWC days. Members, but not the starpower of the league.
If OS/WS can't bring the PAC name with them, they're just another set of mid-sized regional colleges on the level of UNT or Georgia State. I'm not sure they really move the needle that much.
That's not saying I won't welcome them to the AAC, or that UNT shouldn't try to get into the PACx if it survives. I'm just saying that they aren't UCLA, and it shows.

Hmm. Change the QB, change the D, and UNT looks like a real team.
