  1. I'm so proud of Coach Orr! I loved watching him play. I'm so happy for his success!
  2. I know it's not sexy, but we're gonna need a kicker. A good one.
  3. It's odd, isn't it. A million years ago when I was an undergrad, we'd have weekend parties, and these friends/people I knew at SMU always wanted to come to our parties. So we'd say sure and they'd show up and be the last ones to leave (finally). Eventually I drove down to one of theirs and then understood why they always came to Denton.
  4. I tortured myself by watching that play again. That SOB Kaleb Oliver and those MF Refs. Gutless cowards for reversing that call.
  5. I'll truly miss watching Oscar play. It felt like we really got to know him. He battled through some injuries and came out the other side.
  6. I always sensed those guys were just stopping by. You are right, Oscar is not that.
  7. For some reason, Oscar's transfer hurts. All those injuries, I always rooted for him to succeed. I wish him well, but I was hoping to see him wear Mean Green until he ran out of eligibility.
  8. I agree. He's been succesful but he shows up in interviews like he's still at Gilmer Middle School. But the Aggies would probably like that. He'd fit right in.
  9. Spouse has a degree from UVA, so we may end up representing the Commonwealth when UVA ventures down here.
  10. Helwig banned tailgating? And is he the one who did not understand how Title IX worked and ended up cutting men's soccer? And I cannot believe we tolerated Rick V for 15 years. I mean, in some ways it seemed like longer but seriously....
  11. Not too far from my hometown of Duncanville! If I were visiting my mom tomorrow, I'd stop by! But alas I'm in East Texas so I guess I'm watching by myself......
  12. Full of angst? Full of anger and anxiety? Lots of hand-wringing at any rate. Way too much wind bringing the aroma of the feed lots to the people forced to live there (like myself for a few years). The South Plains is a whole other world and sometimes it needs new vocabulary to tap into all that goes on there. Let's just say they are not happy they lost to Wyoming and they are being quite dramatic about it.
  13. Whenever a Pony gets on our board, I hear their comments in a Thurston Howell III voice. "Lovie, we have so very much attendance and endowment! Now where's the cavier? I say, Gilligan, bring us more champagne!"
  14. Lots of wailing and gnashing of teeth over in Raiderland over their OT loss to Wyoming. But the funny part is how they compare it to their horrific, devasting, life-changing loss to us in 1997. [I thought our win in Lubbock in 1988 was epic also. I saw them both in person!] It's somehow satisfying to see them still harboring bitterness over those games. I'm posting a link, if it's okay, to a FB page of a Lubbock sports reporter who compares the losses to Wyoming and to us and how dreadful & upsetting they are. 15. For those going to the Navy game, are you flying into BWI? Trying to get my flights situated and checking out the airfare.
  16. I'll miss watching Kai Huntsberry. He's a warrior. He was incredible during the tournament run. I wonder what his plans are after this year.
  17. They would need to be black to represent the boil weevils in their products
  18. I'm not upset or mad at TP but I am in mourning. TP, don't go!!!!
  19. They need a fake cigar and some ostentatious rings too. To complete the look!
  20. The top of his crappy article features a close up of Jelly. Good grief. And as I recall, UNT got our share of questionable calls.
  21. I have watched this video so many times, and I'm not done yet.
  22. That article was dripping with condescension D magazine usually saves for their "Worst Dressed Socialite" list. Sounds like it was written by some irritated SMU alum.
