  1. These still available or did @Rudy get them?
  2. Kason was MVP of the game tonight. He was finally given his shot and he took advantage. So happy for him.
  3. I agree with you. I think our players will be highly motivated.
  4. There's no sugarcoating it. Despite a solid start, the UTEP football team disappointed the fan base on Saturday night in front of a packed house, falling to North Texas, 31-13. The city of El Paso held up its end of the bargain. The announced attendance of 45,971 fans at the Sun Bowl became UTEP's first sell-out crowd since the Longhorns came to face the Miners in 2008. The fans even showed up despite a one-hour lightning delay. Due to their letdown loss, there's a case that the Miners will struggle to draw a crowd even close to this all year. 5. The 5 Best Week 0 G5 College Football Games 1. North Texas at UTEP This C-USA clash figures to be competitive, with North Texas (-1) being picked to finish fifth in the league, and UTEP being selected to finish sixth. North Texas won last year’s meeting 20-17, and quarterback Austin Aune returns for the Mean Green. He’s looking to build off an iffy 2021 season, and if he raises his level, North Texas could be a league contender. UTEP went 7-6 last season thanks to strong defense, which should be the team’s calling card again in 2022. UTEP set a goal of selling out this game, which could make for a lively Week 0 atmosphere. 6. Here are my initial thoughts: - Interesting to see Damon beat out Tommy - Nice to see Dax back in the 2-deep. I figured he was done - Jett may be our next big star on the line. For him to beat out a more mature Kaci is impressive - So excited to see what Jyaire can do now that he is 100%! He could be the MVP of this entire squad this season. - we have way too many scholarship QB's. Not fair to them and not good roster management for us. - Is Larry Nixon really 6-3, 236?

  8. I will take WR Bryson Jackson. I see him having a good year.
  9. I think he gets overlooked. He is doing an outstanding job with the LBs and was one of the top reasons KD decided to stay. Guy is also a tremendous recruiter. I agree that PB deserves a lot of credit for the defense but Jim is a big part of that. Everyone knows him from his days at Baylor but he also was defensive coordinator at SMU for 5 years.
  10. I hear they are going to reserve their budget to make a big splash the week before the SMU game. They are hoping UNT wins that game on the road because they think a lot of fans will get their interest rekindled.
  11. Well said. It seems to me some of the most die hard fans we have took a step back after the loss to Miami of Ohio in the bowl game. And then to have some spread out the excuse line of DeAndre couldn’t playing caused the loss. We were more talented than they were with or without DeAndre.
  12. Absolutely. Grant in a way has been bad news for Seth because he raised the bar higher.
