  1. Didn't I read that the game at Texas in 2014 has been cancelled as a result of the BigXII revamping its schedules resulting in BigxII teams having one fewer OOC game per season? Hopefully we can do something about the 2012 schedule, since as scheduled we would not have 6 home games that season.
  2. Which does not answer the question of how many.
  3. The MWC has Air Force, Colorado State, UNLV and SanDiegoSt; the WAC has Idaho La Tech and two Texas programs that have no history. Surely you can see a difference. That having been said, CUSA would be more attractive to UNT.
  4. actually what the article says is that the MWC will meet sometime after the year to decide if they want to go to 12 or stay at 10. Going to 12 is not a done deal.
  5. Everyone except ULL. But there will be other jobs open, so don't count your chickens.
  6. Oops. troy is playing Mississippi State now, played University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) in the NIT. Even so, one should still expect a similar outcome.
  7. Because we haven't convinced anyone we are better than that. As pointed out elsewhere, last year we had no quality wins and two embarrassing losses (FIU at home and Boise).
  8. Yes. City College of SF, 1967 and 1968.
  9. Nick Saban was a DC. Urban Meyer was a defensive asst. Bo Pellini was a DC. Someone has already mentioned Stoops. The idea that DCs bring "three yards and a cloud of dust" does not hold up.
  10. Holmen's minutes diminished to nearly nothing the last six games of the season, including the NCAA and conf tournament games. No more than 6 mins in any of those games, zero in two. Did he have a health problem, or were the coaches lacking in confidence in him?
  11. will the "rent subsidy" (the "valuable consideration") bring his college eligibility into question?
  12. In rereading Bartolotta's info, I see it was dated july 2009 and the SMU deal is ten years.
  13. Wow. One win and we're talking top 25. Tentative future schedules (incomplete) as published (Green Gang) in July, with some additions: 2011 - Houston, Alabama, Tulsa and Indiana. (Indiana's future schedule on their website does not include UNT and shows Ind plays Illinois on the date we were to play Indiana. Ind's 2012 schedule doesn't show us but has room for us.) 2012 - LSU and KState. 2013 - Georgia, Ohio and Ball State. 2014 - UTx, SMU and Tulsa. 2015 - Tulsa, SMU and Iowa. 2016 - SMU, Florida and Army. 2017 - SMU, Iowa and Army. 2018 - SMU (I thought this was a 4 yr deal not 5), Army and Arkansas. Probably lots of changes we don't know about since the above was posted. For instance Indiana's future schedule changed substantially when it was redone to get Nebraska into the Big 10/11/12. Who knows if this gets Plum where he wants us to go. But we are years away from top 25 consideration.
  14. so you want to take out the low. What if you take out the high? Hmmm. Works out to 15.5 p[g.
  15. Now that the women's schedule is out, it is a doubleheader on Jan 1. That is awful.
  16. Did you notice that we have a home men's basketball game on January 1? Are we trying to keep people away?
  17. What makes you think he might not have?
  18. Good point, Plum, but the premise of this thread is who (if anyone) does the MWC take if Houston is not interested? And if UH is not interested, there aren't that many good choices.
