It is my understanding that under existing rules a conference cannot have two playoffs - can they? Given a playoff with the MWC and what I "think" is the fact one conference cannot have two playoffs, what incentive does CUSA have to go to 12? Same question for MWC - what incentive to go to past what they have?

I have no problem with 4:00 pm, only with making a change in game time a few days before the game. For selfish reasons (Sat morning golf) I would prefer 2:00 or later. The schedule says 3:00 the last two games of the home season, that is fine with me.

USC and UCLA get something like $20,000,000 a year of Tier 1 money. For that they are quite happy to let the other guy decide on their game times. What do we get?

When games are moved up for TV its because the team gets money for the inconvenience. This gets us nothing.

hardcore fans kept this program afloat for years and still pay the bills. the idea that "t shirt fans" bring in the money is, as you say, simple.

UNT has a long history of bad bad decisions and the decision to move the game time up ranks way up there. In this case UNT has given in to the wants to people who are not hard core fans and to hell with those like us who care enough to lend support no matter what game is on TV. Bad bad decision shows weakness on the part of our decision makers.

Why do so many UNT fans think our fan base will consider these schools as rivals? We have played TxSt 36 times and a rivalry never developed. Why would one develop now? Accepting them at this time will further convince our undevoted alums that we are truly small time. We have plenty of time. If we want them we can get them 5 years from now.

Tulsa has played 3 teams currently ranked in the top 5 in the AP poll. No way to tell how good they are. Of course they got run out of the park by that schedule, who at our level wouldn't. Keep in mind Saban was using backups in the 2nd qtr vs UNT.

TCU. Articles may say otherwise, but they made it clear last year when they decided to stay at 10 they did not find it necessary to be in Texas.

People who transfer from UNT are by definition quitters. People who transfer to UNT are wise young neb who have seen the errors of their previous choices. Either that or walk up to George Odufuwa, look at him straight in the eyes, and call him a quitter.

There is a publication out there that says the conference will go to a 9 game conf schedule beginning with 2015. If that is true, and I have not seen it confirmed by the conference office, then we have no openings for a while. Section 206 row 25, Ed Wittemore and I have the 4 seats on the center aisle. We like sitting high to be able to see how the play unfolds even on the other side of the field. Row 25 is under the overhang. I suppose that could be some advantage. Did it by phone. Easy.

Is this thing being held in secret? I live about 10 mins from the Hilton location near LBJ and this is the first I have hard of this. Maybe attendance would be better if they told people about it.
