I think 7-4 is a pretty realistic season for us, given the question marks... as far as the 7-0 MTSU record in conference play, there might be a little homerism coming from the vandy guy. I dont think anyone will go undefeated in conference play

Mack Brown did the same thing for Texas practices. Closed them all. Also didnt let people bring in cell phones that could take pictures because he didnt want competitors seeing the plays. I dont know what it matters, seems like every play is a QB draw.

Its good to be King... even if it is for ONLY 4 seasons.... I think UNT has been good in the sense we have brought alot of exposure to the belt due to our RB's and our conference winning streak--- all good things to get noticed. I think the only way we (UNT) have hurt the belt is the same way Troy has helped it--- OOC play. It doesnt look good to keep getting your balls beat in the first four games only to win the conference over and over.

I will be there and Im bringing my sister (rabid UT fan and graduate) along for the ride! she loves North Texas games

I like Jacobs, he's pretty underrated in my opinion Vince Young or Reggie McNeil would be fun though... imagine having to defend one of those QBs and both our RBs on the ground. Plus, might be fun to see VY go up against that punk LSU freshman

Well it is if its a lack of aggressive play calling-- that or its a mistake bt the coach, you pick. What would make a team think they could win if their coach doesnt have confidence in them to move the ball 3 feet?

The second we win a few non conference games and/or break the top 25, DD is gone, IMO. It happens all the time. The 'have nots' get raided by the 'haves' once they prove they can be a competitor. I just hope our university has the sense to bring in another good coach, maybe even one with a name and not move backwards. Coaches make or break a team. Punting on 4th and 1 is stupid, especially when you are down by 20 in the 4th. If you have only managed to score 14 points in the first three quarters, what would make you think you could score 3 TD's in the 4th qtr? Go for it, get your team fired up. Show some faith in your O-line. It just shows a lack of agressiveness. Which is also my complaint about the UT game.

Not that it really matters, but wouldnt you think Jamario would be ranked higher than Cobbs? Seems to me he gained more yardage in less games against better opponents than Cobbs. Guess its splitting hairs, just curious what CFN has seen that I havent in the last two years

They play on Fridays now... has been that way for the last few years and will probably remain that way... ABC tried to get them to play in primetime on Sat night this year, but from what I understand Texas said no. Mack said he likes early games on friday so that the athletes can spend the weekend with their family. (or maybe its because they go to CS this year and night games in that environment are rough)

I sat on both sides last year.. had a hell of a lot more fun on the student side than the alumni side, thats for sure... the alumn I sat next to kept getting annoyed when we would stand and cheer... old farts... I dont really remember who had most as I was watching the game, but I do know that during the NMSU game last year, it was packed in the part of the student section I sat/stood in and that made it alot of fun. I dont remember it feeling that way during the FAU game (when I was on the alumn side)... but then again that may be the peripheral thing and where my seats were located

Ditka hands down... haha side note: met Ditka in Chicago at his bar/restaurant... took a picture with us (he is a fraternity alumn), was a really cool guy. Very intimidating though, and his hands are freaking huge, I thought he was going to crush me

I doubt Arkansas State would want to play a Nov 19th date @ Army then turn around 3 days later and play @ NT... and didnt we already switch this game once?

I wasnt really referring to the average MG fan, moreso the student. When I was in college and my parents lived in Houston, it was nice to have a weekend away before finals. Many students may have parents in the Metroplex, and I see no reason why they couldnt make it. Some people have family in from out of town on that weekend and it makes it difficult to get away. I live in Houston now, but I will be at the game that Saturday. I'm making a college football weekend of it. Gonna go to Kyle Field and watch the Lonestar Showdown friday, then cruise up to Denton for Saturday nights game. Agree with Eagle-96, having it on TV might hurt attendance. Theres just alot of factors that lead me to believe that will be our LOWEST attendance game of the year

Well, any weekend OTHER than THANKSGIVING, we could probably produce a pretty good crowd... but I fear low numbers for that saturday

I was laughing even harder when Texas Tech hung half a million on them Nebraska will bounce back... I pick them to win the big 12 north (then get slaughtered in the big 12 champ game by whoever the south sends)
