  3. If you don't like shit thrown your way in the monkey cage around here then I suggest you drop the turd.

90 was at the game, just like he was at the Tulane game too.. He spent his money and time and weekend going in support of the team. And like everyone else who were there, was getting real sick of the typical pattern shown by our offense in the first quarter. People are starting to get real real sick of it if you havent noticed? Then, as he has certainly earned the right to do, vented by starting this thread and as usual, you, from a distance safely in the confines of your own home not having to watch it in person with the rest of us, had to come here and throw a turd with a smart ass comment.

So again, if you don't like shit thrown your way then don't start throwing it yourself.

    Rick

My respect for you just went below zero. Have a nice day.

  5. North Texas (3-3/1-1 CUSA) at Louisiana Tech (2-4/1-1), 2:30 p.m. Saturday, CBSSN
    > Why my confidence is medium: When Sonny Dykes left Louisiana Tech after the 2012 season, he took the offense with him to Cal. Almost literally. Louisiana Tech ranked first in the nation in both total offense and scoring offense last year. This year, La Tech has dropped to 80th and 105th, respectively, in those categories. Cal, on the other hand, has improved its ranking by 45 spots, moving up to 23rd this year after finishing 68th in 2012. The loss of all that offense has been a tough pill to swallow for La Tech, but it's been a relief for every team on its 2013 schedule. North Texas will be the beneficiary this week. The running game showed its first signs of life last week; that paired with much-improved quarterback play (Derek Thompson is on pace for more yards, TDs and a higher QB rating this year) will get North Texas above the .500 mark this week.
    > Key stat: 1, the number of 100-yard games by a UNT rusher this year, the first which came from Brandin Byrd (20-139, TD) in last week's 34-7 win against Middle Tennessee State, after the team had four last season. North Texas rushed for 303 yards last week, more than it gained in the previous three games combined.
    > The mob says: North Texas by 6.5
    > So says I: North Texas 28, Louisiana Tech 24

    http://www.texasfootball.com/college-news/view/180594

  6. Best linebacker: Zach Orr, North Texas
A quick word: One of the most underrated players in the state, Orr's 55 tackles in six games puts him on pace for a second-straight 100-tackle season. That number is the second most for any player in Texas. Orr has added 3 TFLs, 3 QB hurries, 2 forced fumbles and a sack in his final season in Denton.

  7. My QB’s of the Week Bo Wallace, Ole Miss • Derek Thompson, North Texas • Adam Kennedy, Arkansas St

1_Wallace,Bo.jpgQB Bo Wallace (Ole Miss) – After consecutive losses the Rebels need to get back on their feet this week vs Texas A&M. Their best opportunity for a win here would be by riding their dual-threat QB Bo Wallace who is off a 336 yd passing game last week against Auburn. Wallace can also be a ground threat with 3 rushing td’s on the year with double-digit carries in 4 of Ole Miss’ 5 games. The Aggies have a suspect defense to say the least allowing 483 ypg on the road this season so we like Wallace’s chances.

QB Derek Thompson (North Texas) – The Middle Tenn secondary has been vulnerable to the pass so far this season allowing 300+ yds in 3 contests this season. Toss in a QB in Derek Thompson who just passed for his 2nd 300 yd game of the season last week vs Tulane and you have an excellent Surprise Fantasy QB this week. Over the past 3 games Thompson has attempted 42 passes per game and we expect more of the same.

QB Adam Kennedy (Arkansas St) – While Adam Kennedy has just a 3-2 ratio on the season, we like his chances here against an Idaho defense that has allowed 537 ypg this season including an amazing 734 yds in their 61-14 loss to Fresno St. Kennedy meanwhile has completed at least 20 passes in each of his L/4 games (37-46-318 in their last game vs Mizzou) while also showing his dual-threat ability with double-digit carries in 3 of the L/4. Look for Kennedy to surpass the 300-yard pass mark here and quite possibly throw for as many td’s vs the Vandals as he has thrown for the full season.

  9. Mac is setting up Dajon for a redshirt according to his presser today. He said he's been in and out of practice. Whether it's a legitimate injury or not, it seems as though the plan is for Dajon to get a redshirt. He also didn't travel with the team this last weekend.

Not sure about Berglund though. A package for him would be nice, but I wouldn't expect it.

Seems that the two high profile QB transfers ,Berglund and Scotty Young at LA Tech, have kinda faded away.
