God, I'd LOVE to hear the TRUE 'Okie from Muskogee' Mr. Mercer speak! Can't believe it's been 25 years since I took his Classes at NT...with former Cowboy Preston Pearson. And, MUCH THANKS for this info, EagleD! Definitely will tune in, online!! Go Green!!!

The voice of the Longhorns and UNT alum Craig Way will be in Denton next Friday 8/22. "The Sports Buffet" on am 1300 The Zone is on from 4-7 pm. Craig is one of 3 hosts. His part will be done from Apogee, I believe. Craig does this for most season openers (go to opponents site). It has special meaning for him bc of his friendship with Dunham, and his hustory with UNT and Dallas. McCarney is expected to be on for a segment and I'd bet Dunham is on too. I hope and pray we get to hear from Bill Mercer. It's doubtful coach will take calls, but flood the phone lines and call in.
Be respectful. Craig has nothing but love for UNT and is one of the most knowledgable and nicest guys I've experienced in broadcasting.

I may need to reedit this. We changed the aspect ratio and not sure it was necessary. I tried to give two angles where possible. The field angle is overexposed. Scroll to 0:56 and 10:28 for the robbery. If you have the stomach for it.

A lot of tailgating happens at the Baseball staidum (I-35 @ MLK Blvd) across the highway from the stadium, as well as between Red River Street and the stadium (by the track and field stadium). I mean, there's tailgating everywhere.
Mack Brown did so much to change the culture at UT. It wasn't that way before he got there. Then they canned his ass. Remind the UT faithful what game day was like before Mack.

Austin chapter putting together a pre game gathering. I believe at a bar owned by NT alum. More details available soon.I think those of us not tailgating should meet at Scholtz's Sat. afternoon. It is a short but pleasant walk from there to the game. Great atmosphere all around with local politicians, students etc.
