Oooh. Something to look forward to.

I've been working a CUSA TV package again this year. I have not been to all the CUSA stadiums (and I haven't worked at Apogee) but from what I've witnessed our stadium is on par or superior to every stadium in the conference. In a TV truck it makes a world of difference if the stadium is precabled. Apogee is precabled and I hear from crew members who've worked there say the experience is great. Currently I'm working Marshall @ FAU. This stadium is pretty new (albeit an erector set) and is pretty nice. When they built it, not only did they NOT spend the extra money to precable it they didn't even think about a tv broadcast. The press box is huge, but there is no preset tv booth. The Athletic Dept, basically converted a suite into the tv booth. The game cameras are situated on the 10 yard lines (horrible for coverage). I'm on a cheap show so no camera on a dolly for me. Television coverage was barely an afterthought when they built this thing. There are quite a few stadiums that are nice from a viewers perspective, but from a TV world, suck. The Independence Bowl comes to mind as does Rice's stadium. Other stadiums just blow. I'm looking at you Alabama Birmingham (now that I'm not looking at Fouts). I wish I was working at WKU. I hear it's nice. Left on my schedule this year of stadiums I've not worked are FIU (I hear bad things) Southern Miss (the NT game), and MTSU. I hope 2 out of 3 are nice. Thanks for letting me vent. Maybe next year I'll get to come to Denton. GO MEAN GREEN BEAT MTSU!!!!!!!!!!!

This game was originally SD. It has been changed to an HD show. Will Uverse air it that way? I don't know.

I worked this game. UGLY. Bad play, bad coaching decisions, bad officiating. even our broadcast was subpar. Rice does have a FG kicker who will play on Sundays.

A couple of things. Finally interviews done from a different location. I was starting to believe Vito was getting kick backs from ReddyIce. It may be time to change my old school Quinn jersey for a new Orr jersey. He just seems like a class act. But really what I'd like is an Awasome throw back. Still my fav ever.

Trick or treating at a tailgate? I'm reminded of the SNL Coneheads sketch handing out 6 packs of beer on Halloween. I'd send my kid over to T or T for a bratwurst and a beer.

Starting to really like that guy. We're we injury free?

Saw the screw up. Wrote ESPN. Got a nice "Thanks we'll fix it next time." If just one person does it they won't care. If many people do it they will care. Announcers dont want to be wrong. Be polite but direct. Oh yeah. We could continually win and the problem will fix itself. Bring a sign to the next game ala the NMSU game "Call us North Texas State again and I'm coming to the booth." Best sign ever.

Since Joe Greene has come back into the fold a little bit I like the idea of the Mean Green Curtain. Mean Green D works as well.

Since we're talking NO... Will there be any tailgating? I'm working the game (TV), and will get a break a few hours before kick. I'd like to meet some fans. Maybe even bring a camera for bump shots, rollouts etc.

I know it's been posted before but can someone post pics of "flying worm" and "SOW". I get confused. My basic feeling is, pick a color/design and STICK WITH IT! Each damn AD wants to put his stamp on the department. Once RV leaves will we go through it again. Whatever the logo is in the pic of the Jtron, I'm not a fan. I'm not crazy about current design but its growing on me.

I worked the ODU game. ECU brings a good crowd to every game. Close game until the 4th when ODU on 4th down had their QB line up in the shotgun then punt. He shanked it. They were fooling no one. Bad coaching decision. Is UTSA better than we think or is UNM just that bad?

Perhaps I was a bit too critical. I just get frustrated when I see grammar issues from professional writers. I gave that fight up a LONG time ago.

Vito, you write for a living. "Have began"? NO!!!!! NO NO NO!!!!!!! It's "began" or "has begun". Dude, I almost flunked out of freshman English and I caught that. Please tell me your degree is from SMU.
