NT wins in extra innings 1-0 on walk off hr by Rainey.

8 innings 4 hit shutout by Mackenzie Childers

Tulsa had beat ranked Okie St in their last game

It looks to me like Mackenzie Childers has, in the last few weeks, become the ace of the staff. Phenomenal game. And some great defensive plays by Cierra Simon and Kailey Gamble. Two more home games this weekend...Saturday at 2, Sunday at noon. Go Mean Green!

Constant interruptions due to the weather that utsa handled much better than us. We looked uninspired late in the game.
Also, I didn’t see DeLong after the last delay. Anyone know where he was?

I think it's easier to handle those weather interruptions....when you're the home team. (and it's a travel day). Our gals had I would guess a bus ride from SA to home, afterwards. The game spread out from 1 til after 6....can't blame them for being a bit distracted.

And also that UTSA pitcher....deserves credit for pitching a great game.

5-1 in league play......play Tulsa at home for three games this weekend.

The only things worth saving at Fouts were the in/out, JMGC on-field half time and post-game on field policies.

It also had a great grassy tailgate area on the band practice field, I believe.

But I do have many, many fond memories of the place.

    KWIK KAR FIFTH QUARTER
Back by popular demand, Mean Green fans can now access the field at DATCU Stadium following each home game as part of the Kwik Kar Fifth Quarter. After both teams exit the playing field, fans will be allowed time on the turf for photos or to enjoy a game of catch.

  4. Such a good idea.

Back in 1994.....when we needed to average 17,000 in attendance to get back to FBS (or 1-A).....one of the big donors to the cause....was an alum from Thailand. He had gotten into American sports while over here......and he bought loads of tickets to help the cause. (even though he lived back in Thailand). Can't remember his name....but as I recall...he years later...gave the school a big donation.

So you never know what kind of fan.....you're gonna create.
