  1. So many schools have troubled pasts or no interest whatsoever in their program, then it all turns around with the right coach or AD, who sets the program in the right direction. Its sad to think that it may never happen here at UNT
  2. I hope the Cowboys can beat the Saints, and the idiots with the guns and beer find something else to shoot besides televisions. Wait, I dont think thats a good idea either....
  3. I wish we had 12 finalists for our opening a few years ago....
  4. Wow thats pretty shocking, 3rd largest....Wow... Thats what I am so pissed off about right now, we spend $78 million on a brand new state of the art stadium and it only seats 28,000.... Really? We had 23,500+ for the Army game, in the cold, with a 2-10 team that has only won five games in five years at home.... What happens when we are in a better conference, have a regional rivalry, have 45,000+ students in a few years, and we have a winning record....Expansion will take a decade long and cost the same amount as a new stadium This football prgram is going to get better, mostly likely have the Dodge boys leave, but NT has a really good future and its football program has the capability to take off with the new stadium. We should have built it right the first time, 35,000 to 40,000......
  5. So if .500 isnt something that would make him satisifed, then what makes him expect that 7-5 or 8-4 is achieveable... Has he even seen the schedule of opponents we are playing next season
  6. I am convinced that this program needs to be gutted out and rebuilt from the bottom up. We all know that your decision to hire Todd Dodge and to allow his assitants to come was questionable. But to allow Dodge to come back and not request any changes in his assistants after yet another 2-10 season, says alot about what you think about the program and the people who attend this school and most importantly the brave few who invest money into the football program. I have not heard anything from our AD in regards to making a statement towards this yet again dismal season. His only statement comes to allow our lame duck coaching staff to keep their jobs and for us to rally around the bandwagon and in year four more wins should be expected......what about years 1-3????? The fans of this school feel neglected. that is all I still can't believe we are going to lose the K-State game here in Denton, told so many people about that game. Top 3 RV screw ups 1. Why dont you hold onto that $5million check Mr. Goldfield for our baseball program, and give it to me on a later date, Mr. Goldfield announces his withdraw of supporting NT Athletics 2. We promise the students of NT, 32,000-35,000, two-tier football stadium, in the end we are spending $78 million for a 28,000 seat stadium that most mid-majors and major schools will not find accomodating for attendance... 3. Allowing a High School football coach to bring along his assistants and expect them to compete in a collegiate level. ITS WIDE OPEN, you couldnt be more right about that......
  7. Wow FIU, gets Texas A&M, Pitt, and Rutgers to play at home..... Wow that right there speaks volumes, Texas A&M would rather travel to Florida to play an SBC team than play the one here in Texas, which is more convient and would help their recrutiting, and also allow their DFW fans to attend..... Texas A&M is desperate for wins, and they chose to overlook UNT, of course we know the reasons why.... NORTH TEXAS is in the worst shape I have ever seen it in before......
  8. Nice try RV Also im really concerned how many SLC fans will show up for next year, I know that there are only three left, but I really hope all three can return next season.
  9. I really dont care that Dodge is back, since I knew we couldnt bring in a big name coach to this school..... But remember that Dodge was the OC coordinator here at NT during the 90s and he was relieved of his postion during time here. So this isnt his first chance at college football coaching, he was given the chance before, he knew what to expect before he came in here..... Year 4 of the Todd and Rley Dodge experiment should be very interesting, we might see more changes not only to the coaching staff but also the Athletic Department
  10. Its okay thats fine bring back Dodgie and his high assistants.... But keep in mind this is a business, and after four years of losing money, interests, and productivity... The person who hired Dodge and his assistants is just as responsible for this mishap. We all know that Dodge might win 2-4 games next season at most, he will be fired in the middle of the season, and replaced by an assistant and it will put a damper on opening our new stadium. So the person who hired Dodge and gave him the opportunity to use the NORTH TEXAS FOOTBALL PROGRAM AS A LEARNING TOOL, should be relieved of his duties. If this extra year results in the same 2-10 season or worst, Rick Villareal should be FIRED from his post..... We need a good fundraising AD, and he never lived up to that, while he was here.
  11. SMU got a new Ad named Ornisi, who came in, did the evaluation that was needed and fired Bennett, hired June Jones, within two years, SMU is bowl bound for the first time since Reagan Adminstration
  12. 5 WINS AT HOME IN DENTON, IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats really bad...I never knew that.....its unfortunate WKU is two of them...
  13. This is the same athletic director that hired Todd Dodge in the first place and told him to use our football program as a learning tool.... I wish Bataille was still in the country so she could fire both Dodge and Villareal and start all over, like SMU did.... New AD, new coach, new program= some REAL results.
  14. Wow seriously how many people have been fired or reassigned since the Todd Dodge Era began. North Texas really thinks this HS coach can still turn things around, wow millions of dollars lost, recruits lost, and also transfer of players to other schools and UNT is going to go for another year. Makes Sense. It should be interesting as to how many wins Todd Dodge will get next season, replacing your assistants with new assitants with one-year contracts, is a rebuilding effort that takes time, even though this next season will be Dodge's last season. Doesnt sound like a good deal to save the North Texas football program
  15. I think REM, Willie Nelson, and Jay-Z and Alicia Keys all sound nice. The best performance ever by an entertainer at a Super Bowl Halftime Show will forever belong to this person http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnvSebbIVAM MICHAEL JACKSON AND THE DALLAS COWBOYS, BEST OF THE BEST BABY
  16. And thats why Vizza left.... and losing the two-year starting Qb= 2-10
  17. That would make a great avatar.... Someone should email that pic to RV and Todd Dodge just for fun....
  18. Have you ever been right with your predictions this season and last?
  19. I really dont know if he will be back or not, but speculation is that he will be released, Dodgie himself mentioned that he doesnt believe that he will be back, a college football coach would never say that, because it could cost him in recruiting. Also every thread on the first page of the football forum is in regards to coaching changes, who the new hire should be, and other teams firing their coaches.
  20. I am actually excited that a PAID CONSULTANT can come in here and do some work on this program and highlight what needs to be done and how to approach it. I would like to see Gene Stallings, Hayden Fry, or a good ole Texan come in here and fire everyone up and shake things around. What do you think Mean Green Nation?
