  1. Come on ladies, let's not lose another 1-run game to Marshall.
  2. Nice! I had a 30-minute conference call and when I got off, the MUTS game was over and we're already in the bottom of the 2nd inning against Marshall.
  3. Just hold on for 6 more outs and let's get that rematch with Marshall.
  4. 2-2 now. Hard to work and follow when the game times keep changing.
  5. I just now got out of a meeting and saw the score. It's disappointing, to say the least. Hope the team can bounce back and make it to the finals.
  6. Marshall is a hot team. They’ve won 9 of their last 10, 6 were by run rule.
  7. MUTS beat UTEP 4-3 in the other opening round game.
  8. UTSA defeats Southern Miss 4-2 in the opening game. Mean Green play the winner of the Marshall-UTSA game.
  9. I’m not going to fight you a whole lot on this, ULL has a great team and an elite pitcher, there’s no debating that. And I didn’t completely dismiss their wins over a good UTA club either. UTA lost to #1 UCLA 2-1, swept a 2-game series over Baylor and beat #13 Arkansas and #13 Okie State. They also had 1-run loses to Texas and Texas A&M (both unranked at the time). If UTA had a 46-4 record, I’d be much more impressed. I wouldn’t be terribly shocked if UTA won the SBC tournament. Still, if ULL takes care of business and wins the SBC tournament they deserve and should get awarded a regional. That is certainly no guarantee (last year’s hosts were all major schools (9 SEC, 5 PAC 12, 1 ACC and 1 Big 12). I stand firm in that I would rather go to a regional where we’ve already beaten the top seed than one with a top seed we haven’t even played this season. So, great win? Definitely, and the team knows they can beat them because they’ve already done it once. But, I’m getting way ahead of myself and don’t want to jinx things. We still need to win the CUSA tournament to even discuss potential regional host sites. I’m not at all confident in our chances of getting an at-large bid, although I do believe the team has earned one.
  10. Yes it is! The other sweet part is that La. Tech and WKU will have to play each other before we play one of them.
  11. Not to take anything away from UNT, Ellyson, ULL's impressive 46-4 record or your post, but....I'm not all that impressed with their resume. They have a pair of wins over Baylor and beat La. Tech, while getting run ruled by OU. We lost to Baylor but beat Texas A & M and also got run-ruled by OU. We lost to Kent State 6-0, while ULL beat them 21-5. They also had a win against a ranked Oregon State team. I'm being a little tongue in cheek, but their schedule isn't exactly full of wins over ranked opponents. They did make the most of it with a 46-4 record. ULL should get to host a regional and I would love for UNT to win the CUSA automatic bid and play in Lafayette.
  12. We play the winner of Southern Miss and UTSA vs. Marshall at 2 pm on Thursday.
  13. I recant my previous statement. After two days of roasting, i think it is a much-needed addition to the softball stadium.
  14. Congratulations Mean Green softball team!!!
  15. Solo HR by MUTS in the top of the 6th makes it 6-2. Mean Green are 3 outs away from the CUSA Championship!
  16. Leadoff triple by Katie Clark and a sac fly to LF makes it 6-1 UNT heading into the 5th.
  17. Mean Geeen up 5-1 in bottom of 3rd with 1 out and runners on 2nd and 3rd.
  18. USM is winning the first game 5-3 in the bottom of the 6th. I think they are in a rain delay.
  19. Mean Green lose 4-2. Let's go Southern Miss.
  20. Mean Green scores 1 run in the bottom of the 6th on a bases loaded walk and then leaves the bases loaded again on a horrible 3rd strike call. 4÷2 MUTS bottom of 7. Put your rally hars on.
