I must be somewhat alone here, but I am glad Dodge is back. This year was the 1st time in a while that I saw improvement. The record doesn't show it, but things seem to be looking up....at least to me. Even in most of the games we lost we were in the game. In recent years we might be 2-10, but with losses that were just beatings. Our D and O did better this year, and all I can ask for is improvement at this point. For those who did not watch the games I understand the desire to see Dodge go, but for the long term fans that are usually on the boards that watch all the games I am surprised that I am alone in seeing the improvement over the last several years. Also any coach should get 4 years. He must have a chance for his recruits to become seniors before a decision is made. One more thing....If I am remembering correctly UNT lost some scholarships, so had fewer to work with. And who are we going to get to replace him that we could actually get excited about? This is my 2 cents that might not be worth 1.

It was closer than the score. If I remember right (and that was a long time ago).... 2 TD were scored by INT returns, and we limted UT to 215 total yards of O, and Cedrick Benson to something like 38 yards rushing. Again. I am old, and my memory could be going. Watching the game it did not seem like 27-0.

O-Line gave Vizza time, and I can't remember any sacs. Better game this week, and against a great team in LSU.

I would love to see it happen, but I doubt it. We have seen that A&M is less then steller this year so far (as they have been lately), and then they play a bad Texas Southern team (0-11 last year). Not much to show a top 25, but it would be great to see. Troy didn't even do it after winning against a ranked Missori team a few years back.

Worst game in history? I don't think this will be the worst, but it won't look good. LSU is one of the best teams in the nation, so if we hang with them great...if we don't it doesn't worry me. I would put my vote on the 65-0 pasting we got from UT. Funny thing is, if my memory serves me, we actually won the sunbelt that year.

Stoops said the same thing when they played A&M a few years back that it was the other teams job to stop him from running up the score. I on the otherhand have a hard time with it. Most teams we have played have not done this and has showed class. As for the Ark State game at Fouts. Yes that was not good. If I remember right we ran up the score in response to some comments made about UNT by the ASU coach. We won that game something like 58-14 and had something like 175 yards in penalties (most of them celebration). Even with what their coach said I think the opposing coach must rise above it and play with class.

2nd this, except I see 3 wins. I hope I am wrong (and good for UNT that I usually am), but if Mendoza stays I see a 3 wins. The O will be much improved due to maturity, but we lost some key defensive players, and I can actually see our D being worse next year. I think Dodge is a very good coach that will not make it in D1 football if he insists on keeping Mendoza.

I probably am missunderstanding this one. Who in there right mind would want the SMU job over UNT? When is the last time they even had a winning season over there?

I think the reason for all the "knee-jerk" reactions is NOT that everyone thought we would have a great year, but our D was suppose to be our strong point this year, and our O was going to have to struggle with running personell trying to run an passing O. In reality our O has done fine, and our stong D has been weak. I think if our D lived up to exectations then we would have been fine, and everyone would see the season they were expecting. I for one WAS thinking a 4 win season would be a success with 6 wins within reach. Never would I have though our D would have looked like they have and help point to a possible 0-12. I think we will still win a game or 2 though. Keep the faith guys.

Dear Fake, I know you don't believe what you are posting...that just wouldn't be possible. Also to help educate I would like to let you know that Western Kentucky is D1 Independent and not I-AA as you stated.

This was a surprising post to me from an SMU fan. You might be right with TCU; however, with SMU there is much to gain. SMU has not had a team as good as UNT in a long time. This win on Sat. was huge for you guys.

Great place. The cheese fries are awesome. Air Hockey and other games are 5 cents. At least that was the way it was a year or so ago. Haven't been there in a while.

I would recommend the "Cow Bells", but the Sac Kings drive me crazy with those things and not sure I could actually stand to think of the Kings every time I shook that bell. If any of you pick this game up, post a quick review if you can. I generally get the NCAA Football every other year since changes can be minimal. Actually still feels like I am playing Sega G. Madden. I am in hopes this year will be different. Let us know. Might go with Football 2K8 for something new and back to NCAA 2009 after the new offense is installed.

I'll admit I didn't read all the posts, so forgive me if this has already been suggested. Card the tailgaters during the game, and anyone caught drinking underaged (this never happens..right?) gets 2 choices. Go to the game or to the station. Then lets add public intox to the the list. You can go to the game and sober up, or go the the station. From what I see that gets about 90% of the people outside into the gate.
