Pretty much he says our coaches suck.
Why? Because the wouldn't pay him more? Maybe our coaches are horrible ... or maybe they are great ... but I doubt WKU's coaches are any different.

That space would look 100% better with a better color paint on the walls. That yellowish color is horrible. I wonder if the booster who paid for the space insisted on that color.

Geez ... from the downvotes I guess we have a lot of ULM supports here.

"Not particularly close". Vito is always good for taking an underhanded shot at the school he covers.

8. Does North Texas have a chance?
North Texas is this year's example of a mid-major team that had a terrific regular season and is good enough to play in the NCAA tournament -- but suffered a surprising loss in the conference tournament and now likely doesn't have enough on the résumé to get a bid.
The Mean Green went 22-6 overall, 16-2 in Conference USA and have pretty solid metrics outside of Sagarin. Their NET is in the top 50. But they have just one Quadrant 1 win all season, a road win at Conference USA champ UAB, and haven't really beaten anyone of note besides the Blazers.
As much as some people want to see mid-major champions over middle-of-the-pack power-conference teams, it's unlikely to happen this year with UNT.

"Stunned"? Why would this loss be stunning? We played two close games with La Tech who are a good team.

Dublin is a fun city. I miss the Guinness and pubs. We might plan a trip for this fall or next spring. About 4 years ago I was walking the streets of Dublin, and I bumped into a guy wearing a North Texas hoodie. We made small talk about the team and Denton. Have fun in Dublin Green Brigade!
When I visited Dublin for a few days I didn't really care for it. It was like a much smaller version of other major European cities and filled with lots of tourist junk. However, I loved driving through the rest of Ireland, driving by endless fields of grass and sheep. Irish stew in a small town is amazing, unlike what you can get in Dublin. Amazingly enough, one of the best Italian dinners I've ever had was in Cork.
By they way, I lost a Mean Green hat somewhere in Dublin. If one of the Green Brigade finds it, I'll offer a $2 reward. :)

Delong doesn’t want a new stadium unless it’s gonna be standing on the exact same ground
Is this true? It seems weird that a university would base major long term plans on the desires of a current coach. Plus, I'd expect he would prefer a modern facility that faces away from the afternoon sun.
I think it's more likely that building a new stadium is far in the future unless a big money donor comes forward. But if they have changed their long term plans to leave softball were it currently is, then that would be very interesting.

I really hope he's a backup next season as we need someone better at the position.

I like that coach. Seems like a guy who is well spoken in down home style and keeps things in proper perspective.

McCasland, is far and away, the best coach in UNT athletics history. You can argue with a tree.
I wouldn't go that far just yet.

I've said this before, but I think Mac likes getting kids who are under the radar and aren't "stars." It fits his system. He wants guys who will run through walls for him -- not someone who is a diva and wants to score 20 a game.
I'm not sure we'd be as good if we had WKU's talent for instance.
Shaka Smart made his name at VCU by running a high tempo full court defense and he recruited guys that fit that style. When he got to Texas the top recruits did not want to play that style because it wasn't NBA basketball. Therefore he had to use a system other than what got him hired at Texas in the first place. That's not the full reason why he didn't succeed at Texas but it's a part of it.
I think this example is why Grant should be very choosy about leaving North Texas for another school. He may get a bigger paycheck but may struggle with players who don't fit what he wants to do or have to coach a different type of game.

From the highlight that arena looks a little dark, like its something from the 80's or earlier.

Depends on the goal. I doubt we’ll ever break into the top echelon of college football. This is in large part because of the current state of college football. The top of college football, and college sports in general, are running away from everyone else and leaving little hope for anyone to catch up.. Our entire athletics is about as good as it’s going to get right now.
Footbal may be able to put together a few top 20 seasons but not consistently and it wont be enough to move us up to a top conference.

Conference USA of course isn’t led well, efficiently or maturely and so has refused to act in the same manner.
Should most or all of the blame for this fall on Judy? I'd think there might be some schools' leadership that is also part of the issue.

We had the best recruiting class in CUSA last year by signing kids early, so our response is to completely change the strategy?!?! It just seems strange. Here’s to hoping they have an inside track to some late signees/difference makers. GMG!
I suppose Seth believes they need some guys who can play immediately.

Terrible game plan.
Undisciplined penalties cost them the game.
McCarthy needs to retire to the closest Golden Corral.
Connor Williams needs to retire and become a matador.
Zeke's contract is an albatross. He needs to go.
Need help on the DL.
Just became a Bills fan for the remainder of the playoffs.
I'm rooting for the Bengals.

This is the hardest part to believe as realistic. Even if we won 9-11 games, P5 donors (who evaluate candidates much more surface level than ADs) would be scared off by his record the last 3 seasons.
It's the same with UNT donors. :)

For me the worse part was watching our "best" quarterback play awful and wonder what will next season look like.
