What I love it that this guy wants the NCAA to take over and run a playoffs. Instead of trying to appease the bowls he's basically saying "Join us if you want but we don't need you". I'd say the same thing to the Pac 10 and Big 10 ... if you don't want to be part of the playoffs then so be it. You can have your champions play in the Rose Bowl every year but you'll never be a true National Champion.

From what I've read in this article, if I was on that jury it would have been hung. The university should appeal that decision.

This is the same question I have. I coached for a few years and one year in particular in a small East Texas town. We did not have a good football season. This was before message boards became the rage. As a coach I stayed away the barbershop, I stayed away from the teacher's lounge, I pretty much stayed away from anywhere folks would be rilled up about the season. I knew if I went to those places I'd hear a lot of negative talk. When I did find myself in those situations with someone wanted to bad mouth the team ... or a player ... or me, I'd smile ... tell them to have a nice day ... and excuse myself. I might have been upset but I never took it personal and never allowed myself to be sucked into a negative discussion. In other words ... why are coaches reading this board when they should know there won't be much postive written. In the same vein, why do coaches read and watch the media when they know reporters will support them one week and bury them the next. If coaches want a pat on the back a message board (and the media) is not the place to go. If I was one of the UNT coaches I guess I might glance at the board once in a while but I wouldn't take any of it seriously. I wouldn't listen to anyone outside of the program.

Exactly. "IF" TD is upset with Mendoza it would have been better to take it inside behind closed doors. Unless it was something really big I'm thinking it looks much worse than it is. Dodge doesn't seem to be the kind of guy to blow up in that situation.

That last big play was par for the course for NT's defense. Blah!

The key is to not even look at the chart until the 4th quarter. Just keep kicking extra points until them.

We are talking about Schnellenberger. I wasn't surprised at all and it's completely believeable with him.

Bad decision by coach but I don't think he wanted his quarterback to make such an awful throw.

It's an ok stadium. If that's what we could get I'd take it. However it does look like simply a bigger high school stadium. It would be nice to have some "bells and whistles" in our new stadium.

Navy! Oh, wait ... Speaking of Navy, I just ordered my tickets for this game. I'll probably make it down for a few more games this year but I wanted to make sure I was at this game. I'm really looking forward to it. I'd love to see NT play at Notre Dame ... or at Michigan ... or have A&M come to town.

After seeing that video I think I finally like the new shade of green and the new uniforms. I loved the old dark green but this shade has finally grown on me. The new uniforms look great.

Pac 10 wants to leave? Fine! Just tell them they can't play any teams in any BCS conference. They can fill their schedules with playing each other and I-AA teams.

Stupid article for several different reasons. For one ... how can anyone compare Oklahoma high school football to Texas or Florida? I've lived in Oklahoma for the past 5 years and it's nothing compared to Texas and I'm sure Florida.

Thanks for the heads up. That was great. George and Hank do a better job broadcasting than most guys on TV. I do have to disagree with them on one point. At the end of the broadcast they said the four months until the Oklahoma game would go by quickly. It couldn't be going any slower than it is.
