My grandmother lives about 80 miles this side of Nashville and it takes about 10 hours to drive there from the mid-cities including the occasional bathroom stop. Tennesse has some of the most beautiful country in the U.S. (Yes, I was born there!) The humidity is pretty bad, though. Also watch your speed on I-40 between Memphis and Nashville. The state troopers don't give any leeway. Wish I could go. Have fun! GMG!

Just read several TripAdvisor reviews about the Holiday Inn and they scared me! Talked about being dirty, noisy, moldy and mildewy! And bad food to boot! Reviews were as recent as earlier this month. Anyone know anything about the Best Western Chateau Suites in Shreveport? They are in the same area close to the casinos and about the same price. TripAdvisor rated them as the #4 hotel and the Holiday Inn as #19. We may just bite the bullet moneywise and go with Sam's Town (#3). A co-worker says they're nice, especially the bathrooms! Just can't stand a bad hotel. GMG!

Unless I totally missed it, there is no mention of NT in the Star-Telegrams big football preview, not even our schedule is listed with those of all the other teams! I always knew they were biased, but this is ridiculous! GMG!

Just made our reservation for the Holiday Inn Downtown on I-20. It's across the river from two or three casinos, Sam's Town and Hollywood, I think. Reservations said they had all types of rooms still available. King non-smoking room for $99. See you there. We'll be looking for people wearing green! GMG!

Was at North East Mall Saturday and checked at Lids for the caps. They didn't have any, but the guy knew what I was talking about and what they looked like. Said he is hoping to get some soon. GMG!

At Football 101, Dick Miller, assistant equipment manager, told us that they would not get the new color jerseys until next year. They had to order them early before the color change was finalized. GMG!

My daughter lived in a dorm '99-'00. Website said her name and SSN could have been accessed so she put a fraud alert on her credit on Experian. They said they would share with the other two credit reporting companies. GMG!

I saw a ball from the '99 NT win over Tech in a case at the new athletic center while waiting for Football 101 to start. They had a couple of others there, but mostly our trophies from conference titles and bowl games. I'm sure they must have more. It was my first visit to the new center, really great facility! GMG!
