100%, the injury bug has cropped its ugly head. Look at any other team, even NBA, when you lose 2 starters, you aren't winning games against top of the conference. It's hard enough to win them full strength.
To that point, if you look at the way we are still in games with these injuries, says a lot about our resilience and coaching. I believe in Boss Hodge.
It is a rough time to be a Mavs & UNT hoops fan on the injury front.

Lunardi always makes his brackets according if the season ended today and brackets were being filled for a tournament starting in a few days. He's not projecting out the rest of the season, or the league tournament, it's just since we're leading the AAC as of now, we get the autobid.
Got it. I just think that the AAC winner is going to get higher than a 13 - that's C-USA, borderline WAC territory for an AQ.

13 seed and AQ? That means we fall apart in conference only to put it back together for conference tourney. Don't really see that happening.

So then why is Baylor doing it?
Delusional to think our fan base and student body support is the same as Baylors. Why has Apogee student attendance suffered? Kids these days are lazy AF.

Student attendance will plummet if it gets moved across 35. Plummet.

An F for Morris? I agree with lots of grades above, but not this one. I’ll give a C-

Seems like a weird combo of throwback helmet with modern jersey. Missed opportunity for a cool throwback jersey.
We have some of the worst execution on branding. We're starting to improve...

I mean, we exceedingly rarely ever competed at a level similar to Utah on the field or on the recruiting trail.

Why do I keep paying attention? I understand t shirt fan UNT alums. Who can I hitch my ride to that’s obscure AF? Pitt? ‘Cuse? Anything’s an upgrade.

It’s probably quite debatable in the current lineup following recent departures….hard to argue we’re materially different than MWC

I will not be ok for a bit if we lose.

This fan base still thinks we’re too good to add Washington st and Oregon St.

Fairly laughable comments in here by some re: Washington St and Oregon St. How on earth would they not be additive to MWC? How will they not be at the top of the MWC, ahead of the likes of SDSU, Boise, Fresno, AFA, Wyo? If added, they're arguably as strong as the version of AAC before us joining. I don't think some of you truly follow college football (esp on the west coast) like you think you do.

Would be nice to get them at the Pit after two recent trips to their house.

Something tells me we're a few courtings away from mutual interest.

I think field size is playing into this view. CFL fields are almost 12 yards wider, in addition to the extra deep endzones.
It's the upper-deck weather covers (going vertical adds an illusory height), pressbox/suites all the way around, and virtually no endzone seating that are really doing it. Pretty nice looking stadium if you ask me.

The AAC better make moves before the MWC does.
What moves can AAC make? At best you could possibly land UNM right now? Otherwise the rest are hoping for something to come from the PAC fall out.

The best of the MWC has half the media deal the AAC does, and the schools dragging down the Pac media deal are suddenly going to catapult them to a fat contract?
Fatter than what AAC will get on the next go-round, yes. It won't be too fat, we're talking recent dad bod sized.

And why is being conference mates with them of any significance? They would much prefer access to Texas recruiting.
There will be a larger media deal available afforded to a conference made from the rest of PAC + best of MWC than what AAC will have next go-round.

Fresnos football attendance is 10x that of basketball. Wyoming also favors football.
