You can't discount rivalries in college football. SMU defeated TCU for the very reason that they are a local area rivalry. If that game was played at Amon Carter, TCU would be 2-0 IMO. Tulsa is a good team and had a very solid showing against two very highly talented teams.

It would be nice to see them in the same backfield for more than 2 plays a game. However, Flanigan uses his fullbacks strictly as blockers. I just don't see JT or PC being used as a lead blocker. Pass blocking may be a different story, but then how many teams would be tipped off if JT & PC are in teh backfield and all we ever do is playaction?

Sportsline usually shows NT more love than the other college football ranking sites.

I think the helmets and jerseys look better than last years. I can't wait to see the new lighter shade of green applied to the jerseys and helmets next season. Combined with black pants, the Mean Green will look pretty damn sharp, IMO.
